A few other ways to save money at Home Depot:
Shop the Special Buy of the Day sales!
You can save on different things each day (valid for one day only!), such as faucets, ceiling fans, kitchen accessories, and more. These online-only sale items also qualify for free delivery to your home (regularly free on $49 orders!), which is a nice perk!
Watch for various special promotions throughout the store and also online!
Often, they have promotions where you can get a free item whenever you purchase a qualifying products. They often have these promotions during certain holidays for tools, lawn products, etc.
Take advantage of free DIY workshops!

Check out the Clearance section and look for the yellow tags!
You can often find great deals on various items on those clearance shelves, so it doesn't hurt to see what you might find.
Stock up on paint and painting supplies when they offer their paint rebates (think Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekend!).
You can usually save up to $40 on paint after rebates! Plus, be sure to watch for cans of paint marked down on a designated shelf in the paint section. These are usually colors that a customer brought back because it wasn't the right color, etc – and you can usually get it at a nice discount.
Take advantage of 11% rebates & price guarantees!
Not only can you submit for various rebates from the Rebate Center, but did you know that you can submit most of your Home Depot receipts for an 11% rebate on select purchases at The Home Depot?? You must submit your receipts within 30 days of purchase, and select items are excluded.
(Also, be sure to take advantage of The Home Depots Price Guarantee for the best prices!)
If you have a green thumb, look for plants in the Garden Center that are marked down (usually these are plants that are wilted or just need a little extra TLC).
You can usually save a bit of money if you're willing to give that plant or flower a little extra loving! And don't forget to bring a $5 off $50 Garden Club coupon with you, too!
ALSO, did you know that The Home Depot's perennials, trees, and shrubs have a 1-year guarantee – so you can return it if it dies within one year?? However, if you buy live items online and they show up damaged or dead, you can contact Customer Support at 1-800-430-3376 within three days of delivery and they will ship a replacement at no charge. This policy does not apply to cut flowers or floral arrangements.
Rent tools – instead of buying them!
If you need a specific tool for a project, consider renting it from The Home Depot instead of forking out a chunk of change for a new one. You may only use it a couple times and it'd be better to pay the rental fee than have it collect cobwebs in your garage.
Don't have a truck? You can also rent trucks or vans if you need to haul away a large purchase and want to save a little bit on delivery charges!
