If you're a Texas resident, you likely shop at the popular H-E-B supermarket chain on a regular basis and love it (I've heard such great things and am a little jealous over here)!
If so, you may be excited to hear that my friend Mary (she lives in the Austin area) is going to start bringing you the best weekly H-E-B deals! But first, here are a few tips to make note of!
Quick Tips for shopping at H-E-B:
- Download the free H-E-B mobile app to clip and redeem mobile coupons! The app is such an easy way to find items at your local store and see what the lowest prices are for an eligible coupon. You'll also get exclusive coupons that may not be available in store.
- Watch for those yellow coupons! These coupons can be found throughout the store, but they're also available in the mobile app. Check out their coupon policy below to see how you can use these coupons with other coupons.
- Sign up for weekly emails! Go here for all the perks of being on their email list!
- Submit for Ibotta, Fetch, and Checkout 51 Rebates! Get the best bang for your buck by submitting your receipts for cash back rebates when you buy participating items!
- Shop the “Combo Locos” and Meal Deals promotions! Whenever you buy one H-E-B brand item, you'll get several other items free! For instance, one previous meal deal promotion was to buy an H-E-B Smoked Seasoned Shredded Beef and get potato chips, hamburger buns, & dill pickles free!
Keep in mind that the offers and prices in he H-E-B Weekly ads may vary by location. While offers and prices are often similar, some offers will only be eligible at a specific store. Be sure to check the weekly ad for your area before heading out.
*Note that you can also usually find the same digital coupons below in store as yellow paper coupons! However, the app is handy because it will show you the qualifying, lowest priced items for that coupon and you can scan items in store to see if they qualify! Plus, you may get exclusive offers from time to time.

HEB Coupon Policy
Wondering if H-E-B accepts coupons or if they have a coupon policy? They accept the following store-issued coupons as well as manufacturer issued coupons.
- H-E-B issued coupons available at store level and are typically yellow in color or
- Generated by a coupon printer at the register and provided with customer receipt.
- Distributed via direct mail to customer households or other printed publications.
- Digital coupons selected on the H-E-B website or H-E-B mobile application.
- Manufacturer issued coupons including those with competitor logos (must have the wording “Manufacturer's Coupon” printed on the coupon).
- Online Printable coupons with a bar code (i.e. heb.com coupons, email coupons, internet coupons, social media coupons).
In addition to their other coupon policies, it's important to know these rules:
- H-E-B will not allow stacking of any coupons. Only one item specific coupon per qualifying item is allowed.
- H-E-B does allow piggybacking of coupons in certain scenarios.
- Buy X Get Y Free. A cents-off coupon can be applied on the Buy X item because it was purchased and not the “Free” product.
- $ off “Your Basket” coupons can be combined with an item-level offer if all qualifying requirements have been met on each coupon.
H-E-B Curbside Pickup and Delivery
Similar to Walmart Grocery Pickup, H-E-B offers Curbside Pickup where you can place your orders online and a shopper will shop for you! After placing your order online, just drive to your local store and park in the designated parking spots for Curbside. Then, text the number on the sign to let them know you’ve arrived and they'll load your groceries straight into your car.
If you can't make it to the store, they also offer a grocery Delivery service and will bring the groceries to your door for an additional fee. Here are the fees for using these services:
- Curbside Orders – $4.95 personal shopper fee
- Delivery Orders – $4.95 personal shopper fee + $5 delivery fee
While you cannot use manufacturer coupons on curbside pickup or delivery orders, you can apply digital coupons and weekly offers while shopping!
