Easy Valentine Box
Did your kids' Valentine's Day class parties sneak up on you this year? Every year my kids are supposed to bring valentines, but they're also supposed to bring a cute box or bag for the exchanged valentines to come home in. Of course my kids want it to stand out, but sometimes Mom (me, I'm Mom 🤪) doesn't have time or energy for that!
I can't assemble class valentines for you, but I do have this EASY Valentine box you can make out of a store-bought piñata in less than 10 minutes! And there are so many possibilities with all the cute little pinatas out therestarting at just $4 (PLUS just save and reuse it at your next birthday party) Add a piñata to your next Walmart delivery order and you're ready to roll!
Supplies:
- Piñata (I got this one from Walmart)
- Box cutter or scissors
- Clear tape
How to Turn a Pinata into a Valentine Box
1. The first step is to take off any stickers, pull strings, or tags on your piñata.
2. You'll want to grab your box cutter or scissors and cut a slot at the top big enough for cards to fit through. I cut it right over the plastic loop where you normally hang the piñata from. The slot should be wide enough for Valentine’s cards, but small enough to keep everything from falling out.
3. Add tape around the edges of the slot you just cut, to reinforce the opening.
And that's it, so quick and easy! You can also add other embellishments like adding your child's name with stickers.
