DIY – Two EASY Valentine's Day Felt Garlands!
Bows are definitely having their moment right now; and they'll look especially sweet in your Valentine decor. Hop on the trend with these simple, no-sew felt bow garlands! Felt is super-affordable, and comes in a rainbow of colors, so you can really tailor these garlands to the color scheme in your home.
For the Bow Felt Garland you will need:
- Two Colors of Felt Sheets (or more if you'd like!)
- Twine or String
- Scissors
- Glue Gun
- Clear Hair Elastics
- The felt I bought were in 8×11 sheets, so I cut my felt longways, into about 1 inch strips.
2. What I love about this project is that you don't have to be good at tying bows! Simply fold the strip into a bow shape without tying it. You will then use an elastic hairs tie to hold the bow in place.
There! Now you've got sooooo many gorgeous bows! Make them as big or as chubby as you like.
3. Next, you are going to hot glue them together! This is so easy, just add glue to one edge of the bow, and stick it to the next bow in a pattern.
Pretty soon you'll have a whole chain of bows!
4. Trim the tails of the bows at an angle to make them all look a little more symmetrical.
5. To be able to tie up your garland on your mantle, you'll want to glue string loops to each end of the garland. I just used twine, but you could use whatever you have on hand.
There you go! Now you've got the CUTEST bow garland for Valentine's Day!
Valentine's Day Love Letters Felt Garland
We're not done yet though! For the Valentine's Day Love Letters Felt Garland you'll need:
- Twine or String
- Scissors
- Glue Gun
- These Valentine Love Letters
1.This garland is so easy because there's no sewing required. All you are going to do is hot glue the love letters to the twine (or string) in a colorful pattern!
HINT: Make sure you measure enough twine to fit on your mantle!
It's that simple! Now you have two garlands to hang! I made my love letters garland slightly shorter so that I could put it above my bow garland! These are getting me so excited for Valentine's Day, but you could also make them for any season! Red, white and blue bows for Independence Day, or green for St. Patrick's Day maybe?! So many possibilities!
Thinking ahead to Easter decorations? Make another DARLING garland for spring!
