Supplies needed
You need very little supplies for this fun craft. Here's what you'll want to grab:
Picture frame – whatever size you like! Just make sure the edges are wide enough to hold the ornaments. (P.S. this is a great opportunity to upcycle a frame you don't use anymore from around the house!)
Small plastic ornaments – I grabbed two different sizes and love the variety. (I grabbed mine from Hobby Lobby but you can find these sets at the Dollar Tree, Walmart, Michaels, and more)
Glue gunÂ
Printed photograph – or, if you're gifting this to someone you don't have a photo of, maybe put in a Christmas card for now and they can change out the photo later!
How to make your own Christmas ornament frame
The main idea of this craft is crazy simple – you're just going to hot glue the ornaments all around the front of the frame.
I had two sizes of ornaments, so I started arranging and gluing the bigger ones to the frame, and then filled in the empty spaces leftover with the mini ornaments. I definitely recommend this variety of sizes because I think it really makes the finished product look more high-end.
I didn’t follow a specific pattern, but tried to space out the ornaments evenly and without two of the same pattern/design right next to each other.
If you wanted, you could easily add a bow to the frame as well for a little extra pizazz!
Finally, I put the photo in and put it on display on my bookshelf with my other pinky Christmas decor!Â
I love how easy this Christmas ornament frame is to customize to your decor. There are SO many different colors, patterns, and textures of ornaments nowadays, you can truly make this DIY your own.
