CVS has a few good deals this week, and since Thanksgiving is just around the corner you'll want to start earning those Extra Care Bucks to use in their Black Friday ad! Â Here's my top scenario of the week:
Transaction #1
Buy 1 Just the Basics Single Paper Towels $.79
- Use (2)Â $2/1 coupon from the 10/13 Red Plum insert Â
- Use $3/1 printable or $2/1 printableÂ
- Use $.79/1 Just the Basics Single Roll coupon from the CVS coupon machine
- Pay $6.48 out of pocket, get $5 ECBs
Buy 1 Listerine Pockets 72 ct $4.49
- Use $2/1 printable
- And use $2/1 printable
- Use $1/1 printable Â
- Use $5 ECBs from Transaction #1
- Pay $8.27 out of pocket, get $5 ECBs
Â
So you'll pay a whopping $9.75 for all 8 items, including Vitamins, Caress Soap, Dial, Listerine and more!  Let me know if you see any hot deals we've missed. 🙂

I do not see the almay makeup remover deal in the coming week’s ad? Are you sure this is a deal that anyone can do?
Shannon says
Hey Garrett it is actually
Buy 2 Almay Make Up Remover at $5.49, Get $4 ECBs (Limit 1)
Use (2) $1/1 printable
$2.49 after coupon and ECBs
That was my mistake! I am so sorry about that.
Maggie says
What zip code for the Almay coupon? I clicked link and printed and it says on it Target web coupon.
Christine Cramer Howieson says
I'm about to fill a prescription though, wondered if that would help?
Shannon says
Hey Christine! They have if you fill 10 prescriptions you get $5 ECBs you can sign up here: https://www.cvs.com/promo/promoLandingTemplate.jsp?promoLandingId=rxrewards&WT.mc_id=L_FLYDOWN_010113_%20PharmacyRewards
Also if you haven’t registered your card you can do that online and get a coupon for $4/$20. It gets easier I promise! It seems overwhelming at first but once you get the hang of it it gets easier.

If I have never shopped at CVS yet, how do I get started with the EVC, without spending a lot of money. Also, often times, to get the deals. you have to buy things I wouldn't usually use. I have seen that people will often donate those, but I'm just not sure where to start?
Shannon says
Hey Christine! If you can wait for the Thanksgiving Ad that is the best time to start CVS ing. Laurie does an awesome job with the scenario that you will not have to spend a lot out of pocket. Then from there you will have ECBs to roll over each week. Laurie does a great job with the scenario’s each week to spend as little as possible out of pocket. I always donate the items I do not use. Hope this helps!
