Beginner-Friendly DIY Balloon Bouquet
If you're throwing a party soon or celebrating a special event, a DIY balloon bouquet is an easy way to add a fun touch to your festivities! These balloon bouquets are beginner-friendly and only take a few minutes to put together.
I love these bouquets for a terrific table centerpiece. These DIY balloon bouquets are perfect for the snack table, gift table, and more. Plus, I'm linking a kit I found that comes in a set of two so you get more bang for your buck!
Supplies Needed for DIY Balloon Bouquets
I'm so excited that I found this awesome adjustable metal balloon column kit on Amazon. It's super versatile and I know I'll be able to use it for a long time! Since this balloon bouquet is for a graduation party, I grabbed this black and gold balloon set that comes with a ton of balloons so you'll have more than enough to decorate for your grad party. Finally, I ordered this grad themed foil balloon set to add a mylar balloon on top of my bouquet.
It's optional BUT I pretty much don't blow up balloons anymore with my electric balloon pump. You can do two balloons at a time with this and it saves the headache of manually blowing up balloons – especially when you're doing a lot!
How to Make a Balloon Bouquet
This bouquet kit makes it super easy to achieve a gorgeous balloon bouquet without any extra fuss. Just a couple layers of balloons and you have the perfect party centerpiece.
First, determine the color scheme and pattern you'd like for your DIY balloon bouquet. To achieve the twisted effect I made, you'll need four colors. You can also do two colors and either do alternating layers to make stripes, or mixed layers to make a fun checkerboard effect.
Each layer of the bouquet has four balloons. Start by inflating all of your balloons and tying. Then, hook the balloons onto the provided ring.
Assemble the extendable pole according to package directions. You're ready to stack! Because this pole extends, you can make your bouquet as short or tall as you'd like. For a tabletop, you might use 2-3 layers of balloons. Or, decorate your entryway with a tall column.
Finally, top the bouquet with a balloon tied to the provided cup and attach to the top. I used a mylar balloon but you can use a regular latex. You can add in some tiny accent balloons to fill in spaces and add some extra flair or leave as-is.
I just love how easy this DIY balloon bouquet was to make and how much it adds to our party decor.
