If you missed my Facebook live video this morning you can watch here.
I'm so excited that we've enjoyed this month being “Awesome in April!”
I can't begin tell you how much I've benefited from encouraging you to clean each day, so maybe this challenge was just for me. 🙂
Honestly, by going through and checking off our Spring Cleaning List each day with you, my home just feels so much more in control.
I love that.
Today on Facebook Live I tackled organizing the cabinet in our bathroom (and a little laundry too.)
I didn't get rid of everything, but did send two bags of trash to the garbage bin.
And, thanks to one smart readers suggestion, I'm going to use a bunch of these cleaning samples to do a little “spa night” with my girls this weekend.
(When you see me looking 20 years younger on Facebook Live you'll know why. Oh, and we'll use those Smashburger coupons that have been sitting on my bathroom counter for 3 weeks that night too.) 😉
I also wanted to share this silly thing I've kept under my sink for 21 years in between 8 moves.Â
Yikes.
As I've shared before, I have always struggled with my weight, but in college dropped 75 pounds ~ these are those “pre-75-pound-weight-loss-pics” circa 1995.
You know what's even worse?Â
These are the “glamour shots” of those days for me ~ most days I looked even worse but threw those pictures out completely.
So why on earth have I kept them all these years so close at hand?
Honestly, because they remind me of who I once was, and why eating well and exercising is so worth it to me.
I know lots of folks will ask how I did it ~ you can read more HERE ~ it's definitely been life changing for me and I'm so glad to be on this side of that weight loss story!
But why on earth am I sharing this with you?
Ummmmm . . . I have no idea. 😉
I guess because I'm a blogger.
Who every so often wants to tell a story.
And my story is that you really do have control over your choices (IT IS NOT EASY – AT ALL – I STILL FIGHT IT EVERY SINGLE DAY), but I know that if I can win at this one you can win at this one too.
In case you're interested, read more over here, but in a very quick snipped I lost the initial weight through low fat dieting which was popular when I was in college, kept most of it off (not all, but most) through having 3 kids, and have worked this last year to get down to my lowest weight because I just want to stop fighting my weight.
I LOVED the 21 Day Fix and HIGHLY recommend it, but the last month I've been following a mostly ketogenic diet (google it – I'm not doing tons of bacon just no carbs and sugar), and at least for today feel more in control of my weight than I ever have been. (If I manage to continue this til next January I'll tell you all about how it works. But I have to prove I can stick with it to myself before I can share all that!)
WHEWWW!!!
How's that for way too much information when all you have to do today is clean out your bathroom sinks? 🙂Â
Oh, and in today's Facebook Live video I shared how I've learned to love doing laundry too. 😉
Clearly, it's been a busy day. Hope you've had a wonderfully busy and productive day in your home too!
