Walmart Broccoli Recall

Be sure to check your freezer if you have bought broccoli from Walmart lately…  TheFDA has upgraded 12oz Bags of Marketside Frozen Broccoli Florets to a Class 1 Recall.  It is now classified as DEADLY, indicating serious risk.  This is due to possible Listeria contamination. 

Consumers are advised to discard any recalled products listed below or return them to the store where purchased for a full refund.  The bacteria Listeria can cause severe infections – especially in children, elderly or those with compromised immune systems.   Note that these bags of broccoli had a best buy date of Dec. 10th – however if you moved the bag to your freezer to have more time to use it, you might want to check.

The recalled bags have a UPC code of 6 81131 32884 5 (check back of the bag), and a lot code of BFFG327A6.
