I am 5’9″ with big/wide feet and almost always a size 11. These were true to size for me.

I love these shoes! I bought the black pair first and they quickly became one of my everyday shoes. The soles are very thick and do make the shoe a bit heavy, but those are not bad things for me personally. I’ve worn them on days where I’m mostly standing, days where I’m sitting for long periods, and even while hiking (hence why they are a bit dirty in the photos). They have been comfortable in all of these situations and have proven to be great for hiking/climbing on rocks.

I definitely prefer them over my Dr. Martens….I love the way Dr. Martens shoes look but I find that the top of the shoe that hits around the ankle or calf is super stiff, rubbing or digging into my skin all day. These shoes, however, are fairly flexible and I have not had any issues with rubbing, even when wearing them without a layer of fabric between them and my skin.

Lastly, they have an interesting palm tree and leaf design on the soles. I was a bit worried that this may cause them to slip but in fact it was the opposite – they have really good traction so far.

I am looking forward to wearing the white ones (they look kinda cream in the pics but in person come off more as white). I usually end up wearing mostly black or dark colors in my clothing, but I love the pop of a white or cream shoe. Super excited to add these to my wardrobe!
