Is Walmart Plus giving Amazon Prime a run for its money? We’re breaking down all the perks — and right now, you can try it FREE or score 50% OFF a full year!
Walmart Plus Membership
Looking to save time, money, and maybe a few headaches? Walmart+ is here to help you do just that — and for a limited time, new customers can try Walmart+ for 30 days and pay just $1 instead of the usual $8+ per month for members! With same-day grocery delivery, fuel discounts, free streaming, and more, this membership packs a TON of value. But hurry – this great offer ends soon!
BUT if you’re a current customer, you may be able to renew your membership for just $49/year, instead of the usual $98!
To see if you qualify for this renewal offer, here’s what you’ll need to do –
- Log into your Walmart+ account.
- Go to the Manage Membership section.
- Start the cancellation process.
- If you qualify, you should see an option to keep your membership for $49 per year after the first time you click cancel.
- Do not click the second cancel prompt unless you want to fully cancel your membership. That second click will not bring back the offer.
- If the $49 offer appears, accept it.
- Your plan will renew at $49 after your current billing cycle ends.
- After the promotional period ends, your membership will renew at the regular $98 per year unless you cancel before then.

Delivery fees without Walmart+ can run $7.95–$9.95 per order… so the savings add up quick. Plus, the time savings? Priceless.
5 Quick Tips for Getting the Most from Walmart+ Grocery Delivery
- Order early in the day for best selection and same-day time slots.
- Morning = freshest produce. Just like in-store shopping!
- Tip your driver They’re working hard to save you a trip.
- Walmart+ vs. Instacart? Walmart wins on store-brand prices every time.
- Less temptation = more savings. Grocery delivery helps avoid those “just one more snack” moments.
Walmart Rewards = Extra Savings

Free Streaming? Yes Please!
Walmart+ now includes a FREE Paramount+ Essential subscription — perfect for families, movie buffs, or sports fans. Stream shows like 1883, Paw Patrol, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and more. (This alone is worth $59 a year!)
Exclusive Offer: Try Walmart+ FREE for 30 Days
Still unsure? You can test it out for 30 days completely FREE. Try it for a few weeks and see how much you love not stepping foot in the store — it might just become your new favorite subscription!
Walmart+ vs Amazon Prime – Which One Wins?
PPP Team Member Jamie did a price comparison and found that Walmart beat Amazon on 7 out of 9 everyday items — especially when stacking Walmart Rewards. And the fact that it’s cheaper ($98/year vs $139/year for Prime) makes it even sweeter!
So if groceries, gas, and fast shipping matter most to you — Walmart+ might just win.
Would you try Walmart+ or are you sticking with Prime? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!

Thanks! My Walmart+ account qualified for the $49 renewal.
How do you know if the 50% discount worked? Do you have to wait to see it on next billing cycle?
You should receive a confirmation screen. On the screen it should show your renewal date and the amount you will be charged at renewal. I hope this helps. 🙂
The $49 deal was there for me! Thank you
Thinking about trying Walmart +, curious what is the standard tip amount people pay for deliveries? I’ve never used a service like this before and want to weigh all the costs involved vs going to the store myself.
Thanks so much – it worked for me! I use my Walmart + membership quite a bit and I’m so glad I was able to renew it at half off – I never would have known that unless I followed PPP
You’re so welcome! 🙂
Yaaay! Thank you so much for the Walmart+ tip. It worked!
You’re so welcome! 🙂
Worked perfectly for me!!! Thanks!
You’re so welcome! So glad you were able to get it to work! 🙂
The discount on subscription renewal worked for me! Thanks so much!
You’re so welcome! 🙂
It worked for me! Thanks!
Glad you were able to snag this deal! 🙂
I had previously cancelled ( actually not set my account to auto renew) my WalMart+ membership, with the end date being this November. After I read your post, I set my account to auto-renew, and then began cancelling as you suggested, and was given the $49 price for the next year. I’m really excited about that- thank you!
WalMart+ saved my sanity and a lot of time last week. With no advance warning or preparation time, I went to another state to pack up a relative’s house for a move. I was able to get all of my packing supplies from Walmart – I ordered some to start, then kept ordering daily as I could tell what I would be needing. It was also easy to add other items I realized I needed (milk, toothpaste, etc). It was wonderful to order in the early evening and have everything arrive on the front porch before bedtime so that I could start working again early the next morning. We had a tight time-frame, and I would never have accomplished it if I had to run all over the suburbs buying supplies. It might make for an interesting post to see how others have used WalMart+ in unusual ways.
Worked for me! Thanks for the ‘hack’! Woo hoo❣️
The $49 renewal hack worked for me! Thanks!
Woohoo! We’re so happy to hear that!
Worked for me!! Thanks so much!
Yay! So glad it worked for you – thanks so much for letting us know!
My offer was that i could get 50% off of next month.
It didn’t work for me :-(. I tried from both my Mac and the Walmart app on my iPhone and neither gave me the $49 renewal option. I wonder why it is only working for some accounts.
Bummer. I’m so sorry it didn’t work for you. Thanks for letting us know! 🙁
This doesn’t work if you have a annual subscription
Tried to renew Walmart for $49 with the the trick you suggested. It did not work! My membership renews in October.
Bummer! Thanks for letting us know, Janine. 🙁
The Spotify isn’t available anymore.
Thanks so much for letting us know! 🙂
I renewed for $49 and mine renews on August 8th.
Thank you!
Cool! It worked! Renewal in December will only be $49!
Woohoo! So glad it worked for you, Kathie! 🙂
Wow! I tried it Kathy & it didn’t work for me! ☹️
Darn Janine – thanks for letting us know! It’s been working for our team so far (anyone who attempts to “cancel” their membership has been given the option to get a $49 renewal rate) – but I’m so sorry it didn’t work for you! It COULD be due to a popup blocker since this offer showed up as a popup.
It worked for me. Thanks!
YAY!!
Does this walmart special include the PPP program where lists are created for you?
It does not. However, with our PPP Membership, when you have Walmart+ you will get unlimited free deliveries on orders over $35 making it even easier to purchase the ingredients to make our recipes. 🙂
Thanks!
