I love all of the Publix deals but often struggle to take a few minutes to plan great dinners that match the sale items. So each Thursday I'll post “What's for Dinner” based on the sale items at Publix. Before each menu I'll have a shopping list with coupons attached, and hopefully as I get better at this I'll figure out how to make it printable (in the mean time pull out your old fashioned pen and paper and make a list!)

Partially freeze beef. Thinly slice across the grain into bite-size strips. Combine flour and sour cream. Stir in bouillon granules, 1/2 cup water, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Set aside. In a large skillet cook half of the meat in margarine over high heat till done. Remove. Add remaining meat, mushrooms, onion, and garlic. Cook and stir till meat is done and onion is tender. Return all meat to skillet. Add sour cream mixture. Cook and stir over medium heat till bubbly. Cook and stir 1 minute more. Serve over noodles with salad and veggies.

Cream of mushroom soup is on sale at Walgreens through Saturday for 2/$1.59 with in-ad coupon. I'll
probably stop by Walgreens for some soup this week!
Lipton onion soup mix
Hopefully you've got some in your pantry – no coupons are out right now for this.
Put roast in center of pan with veggies and onions around it. Pour cream of mushroom soup on top and then sprinkle with onion soup mix. Cover loosely with foil and roast at 350 for two hours.
Ball Game Night Dinner
At our house we have a lot of sports activities in the evenings. We used to eat lots of pb&j on those nights, but I've started coming up with a few inexpensive alternatives, especially cheaper than your local drive-thru!
Fast Fixins chicken nuggets or tenders
BOGO $5.99 http://www.fastfixin.com/ register here for 5 $1/1 coupons making each bag $2 each!
Red or Golden Delicious Apples 3 lb. bag $2.49
T.Marzetti's Caramel Dip
BOGO $3.49 $.50/1 http://coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=27OHOK2ES7OSG
Contessa Meal (for the grown ups) BOGO $6.99
$2/1 http://www.redplum.com/pages/ViewOffer.aspx?Id=1132206 makes it $1.50
This may not be the healthiest dinner scenario, but for $6.74 you could easily feed two adults and four kids, probably with a few extra apples and chicken nuggets to spare and way cheaper than any drive-thru around!
