Ready to plan your Black Friday Shopping trip at Walgreens? Walgreens will open at 9 AM Thanksgiving morning for their three day sale, which will run in additionto the current Walgreens sale going on all week long. In all honesty, I've never tried to tackle Walgreens on Thanksgiving or Black Friday, but after finishing up this scenario I'm thinking I may have to swing by on my way home from CVS!

Hi Swan Ling! In transaction #2, your out of pocket will only be $8 after coupons, right? So you may need to add in a few items to get up to your Register Rewards, or only use the $7.99 RR from the Nasal Sanitizer. Does that make sense?
I’m confused. There is no out of pocket on trans #2 because the total will be 9.99 and I will use the 10.48 RR from Trans #1…right?
I read through your scenario again and didn’t realize before that you had 2 scrunches… That will work! Just make sure that you add fillers to go a little bit over the price of your Register Rewards because Walgreens won’t easily allow you to adjust the Register Rewards down. You may want to check out my beginners Walgreens info, but it sounds like you’re on the right track!

Yep! You are right! I grabbed a stack of those cute little gift sacks (8/$1) in-ad cpn. and used those as fillers. I ended up paying about $11 for all that stuff, minus the tape which they were out of. I also picked up my free 8×10 Collage from the photo dept. while I was there. Super Happy with my first crazy coupon lady score at Walgreens. Thanks for all the tips, tricks, and advice! I can totally get into this!

Hey Laurie. I just wanted to let you know you may want to rethink your scenarios 1 & 2. I am 99% sure Gillette is a P & G product and so is crest. Sometimes if you use a P & G RR on a second P & G RR item, the second RR won’t print. Hope that isn’t too confusing.
I didn’t even think about that when I worked up the scenario, but you may be right. Thanks for letting me know!
I hear that it isn’t the manufacturer that matters, it is the manufacture in-connection with the a fixed amount (RR amount) that matters. For example using $2 RR from a P&G product on a P&G product that will produce a $2 RR will not print because both $2 RR’s from a P&G will be coded the same. Hope that makes sense.
Thanks Kesh! You may just need to put the Gillette in Transaction #1 and change the Crest to Transaction #3 then make an extra transaction for the Oral B Toothbrush and a filler item. That way it keeps all the P&G products every other transaction! It will change the out of pocket for transaction #1 to $7.50 and get 12.50 in RR. Thanks for catching that!
