Target Drive Up Perks (Starbucks!!)

Here's some FUN news for all you Starbucks coffee lovers and Target shoppers, especially if you don't want to head in-store to grab your coffee (toddlers, illness, etc)! 

Target recently rolled out the option to add a Starbucks Café order AND make product returns via their convenient Drive Up service at select stores — NO pickup time window or membership fee required.

This was a highly requested feature that customers wanted to see added to the Drive Up service – and Target made it happen! 🙂

After a successful pilot, Drive Up with Starbucks is rolling out to Target’s more than 1,700 stores with both a Starbucks Café and Drive Up service by early October. Select stores are already offering this perk.

Target guests can now add their favorite Starbucks handcrafted beverages and food and have it delivered to their car, along with the rest of their Drive Up order, through the free curbside service.

How convenient!

Here's how it works:

1. After placing a Drive Up order at a participating Target store and receiving notification that it’s ready, indicate that you are en route in the Target app.
2. Then, you will receive a prompt to place an order from the Starbucks full menu. Upon making you Starbucks selections, you will click “Add for Drive Up” and pay for the order.
3. Once you complete the Drive Up check-in process and indicate “I’m on my way,” a Starbucks barista located within the participating Target store prepares the order. This includes packaging food and beverage items to ensure their safe transport, such as drink stoppers to securely seal lid openings.
4. Park in the designated Drive Up parking area and tap “I’m here” in the Target app. A Target team member then delivers the freshly prepared Starbucks order — along with the guest’s Drive Up purchase — to your car. That's it!

What is Drive Up?

Drive Up makes it easy to shop for all the things you need via the Target app!

1. Just look for items eligible for Order Pickup across Target.com & choose the store most convenient for you. They'll let you know when your order is ready for pickup inside the store.

2. To pick up your order with Drive Up, you need to select that option in the Target app once your order is ready. Then, let us know you’re coming & what kind of vehicle you’re in.

3. Simply park in the Drive Up area, let them know you’re there, and they will load up your car for you – NO personal contact required.

AND, if you just placed your Order Pickup or Drive Up order and forgot something, no worries! Simply navigate to the My Target tab in the Target app and select the “Forgot something?” button under your just-placed order. Find your missing items and check out, and they'll get them ready alongside your original order so they’re both ready for you when you pick up. Easy peasy!

Target Drive Up Returns

Need to make a Target return?? Target is also making product returns even easier! You can now skip the line or mailbox and make a return right from your car in the nearest Target Drive Up spot.

Plus, Target Drive Up Returns are a FREE, convenient, no-stress option for guests with kids or pets in tow, those with disabilities — or anyone who wants or needs to stay in the comfort of their car.

And, it's fast! Instead of dropping off a package at a mail carrier to be shipped and then processed, you can hand it over directly to a Target Drive Up team member and get your refund that much faster.

To make a Drive Up return, here's what you'll need to do:

1. Start a return from the Order Details section in the Target app and select Drive Up return.
2. Let them know when you're on the way to the store.
3. Upon arrival, pull into a Drive Up spot and tap “I'm here” in the app.
4. After handing off your return to a team member, you'll get a return confirmation via email and in the app.
5. That's it – super easy! 🙂
