Easy Ways of Decorating for Fall using REAL Pumpkins
I love fall. Love…. fall.
Walmart has SO MANY cute pumpkin beauties available, and they are just perfect to use for decorating.
For $1.97 per package in the Walmart produce department (each package included 6 small pumpkins or gourds), we stocked up on things to just make our home feel a little more ready for fall.
Everything will last through Thanksgiving, and maybe by then I'll be ready to change things out for white snowflakes. We'll see. 😉  (I really do love fall!)
Here's a fun way for to use Real Pumpkins for your Fall decorations:
So, for just $1.97, I turned this (above) into this  . . .
I also filled the $4 hurricane glass I found yesterday at Dollar General along with some corn and dried peas to make a centerpiece for the kitchen table. . .
And added just a few little pumpkins to my office shelves to bring fall into that room as well.Â
I'll always pinch my pennies on groceries if it will leave a few extra dollars to fluff my home up ~ I think I spent $10 on pumpkins but it was worth every penny!
I'd love to hear if you've done any fall fluffing in your home using real pumpkins, and if you've found any penny pinched bargains leave a comment to share.Â

Lisa says
Do the pumpkins/corn/dried peas ruin the wood of the centerpiece over time?
Laurie says
Hmm ~ if using live pumpkins, they could possibly damage the wood if they start to leak (once they get old) Lisa! If using artificial ones, it would probably depend on if there is any sort of finish on the pumpkins/corn/peas that may interact with the finish on the wood centerpiece. (You could possibly put something down as a protective barrier before filling the bowl though, if you have any concerns that the wood may get damaged). Hope that helps!

Where did you get the awesome lantern?

Hobby Lobby Shanda! 🙂 I love those all year long, but especially in the fall 😉
