When Is Fall Prime Day for 2026? Amazon typically has a HUGE Prime Day sale twice a year – in Summer & Fall. Check out when we expect the sale to be and how to get ready to save for one of the biggest shopping events of the year!
When is Fall Amazon Prime Day? Get Ready to Save in 2026!!
Amazon Prime Fall Prime Day, also known as Prime Big Deal Days, typically happens in October. And while they haven’t yet released their dates, we have taken our best guess of when it’s gonna occur based on our nearly 20 years of deal hunting.
We anticipate the Fall Prime Day event will be October 13 and 14, 2026.
The summer Amazon Prime Days that just wrapped up were June 23 – June 26, 2026. It was a 4-day event LOADED with deals! This was the first time that Amazon did Prime day in June, so we will have to see if they keep it in June each year or move back to their tried and true July sale.

Remember that Prime Day is exclusive to Prime members, but you can get a Prime membership free for 30 days! If you’re on the fence about if a membership is worth it, Prime Days are the perfect time to give it a try.

What is Amazon Prime Day?
Prime Day is a HUGE 2 or 4-Day Amazon event that typically takes place in July (But moved to JUNE for 2026) and then again for a fall sale in October. This retail holiday is open only to Amazon Prime members exclusively. The 48-96 Hour sale brings in major revenue for Amazon months before “official” Black Friday sales start.
It’s like Amazon’s very own early Black Friday – and just like Black Friday, this is a shopping event you’ll want to plan for so you don’t get overwhelmed. We’re expecting BIG savings across categories including fashion, home, toys, back to school, beauty, electronics, and more.
You’ll want to sign up for Amazon Prime to have full access to all sale events and early deals (Or get a FREE 6-Month Student Membership!)
What are the Best Amazon Prime Day Deals and Coupons you can get?
From the start of the sales in 2021 through last year in 2025, we’ve been tracking the Best Amazon Prime Day Deals,. For 2026 Prime Day, we are expecting either the same caliber of deals, or maybe even better!
Last year we saw a TON of deals on TVs, as well as Amazon Prime Day Coupons for things like groceries, pet care, and more. We also saw quite a few early prime day deals pop up too as well as Amazon Promotional credits.
Here’s how to get ready for Prime Day 2026:
1. Sign up for Amazon Prime
You have to be a Prime member to shop Prime Day – so at the beginning of July you’ll want to sign up for a FREE 30-Day Trial. Bonus – you’ll get to enjoy that Free 2-Day shipping for the whole next month!
2. Get Free Amazon Shopping Credits
Usually, leading up to Prime Day, Amazon will offer ways to score free Amazon credit (such as trying Amazon Video, ordering though Alexa, or adding Amazon Cash to your account!). We will definitely keep an eye out for these deals for you.
3. Know the answer to “When is Prime Day?”
The 2026 Prime Day was June 23-26, 2026!
Typically, deals will be going live as often as every 5 minutes! And be sure to keep up with Passionate Penny Pincher by email so you never miss a deal (you can sign up for PPP emails right over HERE and never miss a deal!)
We anticipate the Fall Prime Day will be October 13 and 14, 2026!
4. Alexa Voice Shoppers Get Early Deals
Did you know that using your voice to shop gets you extra early deals? Customers shopping with devices powered by Alexa (like an Echo or Echo Dot) can get access to select deals a little earlier! AND, if you set up a deal alert with Alexa you’ll have a chance to win a $1,000 Amazon gift card! 100 winners will be chosen by Prime Day.
5. Prep For Lightning Deals
You may want to bookmark the page on Amazon for these deals – they tend to go FAST and are only offered in limited quantities.
6. Use the Waitlist and Add Items Early to Your Cart
If there’s something you want, add it to your cart to save yourself one little step for once the deal goes live. Even if you’re CONSIDERING it, add to your list. Even if you have NO IDEA what’s going to go on sale for Prime Day – go ahead and add items you’re wanting to “your list” and then when/if they go on sale, you’ll get a notification so you can hop on the deal!
If you’ve never added items to your list – it’s easy! Just click “Add to List”.
Also, if it is showing the product is out of stock, feel free to join the waitlist. There are so many times I’ve joined the waitlist and ended up getting the deal after a bunch of people backed out.
7. Score $$ for Slower Shipping
I know one of the best benefits of Prime is fast shipping, but if it’s something you don’t need RIGHT away, choose “No Rush Shipping” and you can get a $5.95 credit to be used towards Prime Pantry orders!
Will stores like Walmart and Target do a Prime Day Sale?
More often than not – YES! We usually see a BIG Walmart Deal Days sale as well as a Target Circle week sale during this time period. We will update as soon as we hear for sure!
Amazon Prime members get FREE shipping with no minimum purchase. Not a member yet? Try Amazon Prime for fast, free shipping and other perks. Otherwise, shipping is FREE on orders of $35 or more. Browse the latest Amazon deals, and check out our favorite Amazon finds under $5!

This year I’m looking for a shark or bissel stick cordless vacuum, a handheld battery mixer for coffee, a warm comforter, sweaters, cardigans, pressure cookers, waterproof iPhone 15 Plus case. If you see them on prime, Walmart, or Target I would love to know.
Absolutely, Kathy! We’ll be on the lookout! 🙂
I need a class for this Prime Day Prep stuff! As well as you explain it it’s over my head I’m 73
We will keep that in mind for future videos Sherrie!
