You can easily put together a pantry snack station for your kids this summer with just a few bins!
Pantry Snack Station for Summer
Summer means more time at home with the kids, and that usually means they’re constantly hungry. (“Mom, can I have a snack?” Sound familiar?) One simple way to bring a little more sanity and independence to your summer days is to set up a snack station in your pantry.
This easy pantry organization idea gives your kids the freedom to grab their own snacks (within reason!), and helps you stay stocked with the right stuff. (Psst! This system also makes packing school lunches in the fall so much easier!)
How to set up a pantry snack station
Here’s how to set it up in a way that’s cute, functional, and summer-ready.
- I first started by restocking our snack selection. There are so many deals right now on snacks on Amazon for Prime Week!
- Then, I made sure to measure the space in my cabinets so that I could buy the right sized bins to hold the snacks. I decided to get these clear acrylic bins, so I could keep everything visible and contained.
Bonus: It Makes Back-to-School Lunches Easier, Too!
This system totally works when school starts back up. You’re already in the habit of keeping snack options stocked and organized, so when it’s time to start packing lunches again, it’s a breeze.
You can even take it a step further and create a lunch-packing station next to your snack bins! Think sandwich containers, napkins, and lunchbox-friendly items all in one place. Older kids can start packing their own lunches with minimal help (a win-win for everyone). Don’t miss our school lunch ideas free printable to help you this fall!
Creating a kid-friendly snack station is one of those small parenting wins that makes a big difference. It promotes independence, keeps your pantry organized, and makes those long summer days just a little easier. And when summer ends? You’re already halfway prepped for back-to-school mode!
