Update: we're starting a new FRESH START FEBRUARY for anyone who's joining in the 2020 Home Challenge and needs a new start now that the New Year's Excitement is wearing down! If you have the 2020 Home Planner watch for updates on this in our private Facebook group, and if you haven't join us yet, go HERE to snag the PDF files and we'll get you added to the group. Let's make 2020 an amazing year!
It's week 5 of our 2020 Home Planner Challenges, and I thought I'd also show you a look into my week this week! Above . . . James is finishing up some shiplap in Caroline's room after Reagan's walls were updated earlier ~ I promise in the next few weeks I'll share full tutorials, because these walls have been so fun and added so much character to their rooms. 🙂
The PPP team and I met here in Ohio Tuesday-Friday of this last week, and goodness, I just loved my time with each one of them! We had a “real” photographer come take pictures so I didn't take any great ones of all of us while we were out and about, but above you can see a few of them checking out the treehouse at the AirBNB we rented ~ it was amazing!
This is my sweet friend Nicole – she's what I guess you'd call my “ghostwriter” (she writes probably 60-70% of what you see here on PPP . . . ) and is one of my favorite folks on the planet.
(She seriously sees inside my head – knows exactly how to write just like me and finds the deals she knows would be my favorite. I don't know how she does it, but she is amazing . . . I am so thankful for her!)
She was visiting from Florida, so I was just tickled that it snowed while she was here. It was her first snow in quite a few years . . . what a fun treat!
My buddy Jamie also came into town early to help me plan big for PPP for 2020 as well as survive a mound of pictures we had to update earlier this week. This was her trying on this pleather moto jacket we both loved at Kohl's (she didn't buy it – and now I'm kicking myself for not convincing her she needed it!) We weren't working to take a great picture ~ but isn't it cute on her?
And my friends Cheryl and Andrea helped me dream big for the new 2021 Home Planner that will come out next year too ~ I can't even wait!
I absolutely adore the whole team and wish I'd gotten more pictures of each one of them, so I'll have to update you later with those soon (above is a pic from our meetup last year – I promise to share a new one soon!) It really was so fun hanging out with them ~ it takes a lot of folks to make a website the size of Passionate Penny Pincher run, and I'm so thankful I have the sweetest girls to keep up with all the things each week!
In other fun news 🙂 when I finally made it home last night my sweet family got a Valentine's meal courtesy of Home Chef (it was excellent!),
and James loved his Valentine's Day card that I totally made just for him. (eek.) 🙂
Today we swung by Kohl's for a few new fun pics (they're giving PPP readers only MYSTERY COUPON CODES MONDAY ~ I can't even wait!) and in all honesty I've been working at my computer all day long to catch up on all the “real” work I missed out on this week. (WHEW!)
Last but not least, this week's project from the 2020 Home Planner was to organize my cookbooks cabinet (which really only took about 2 minutes ~ thank goodness for an easy challenge this week!)
I'm sure I could have done lots more to organize by height or color or category or something (notice that most of our cookbooks are actually gardening books . . . ), but for today this is all I've got in me. I'm 100% okay with B+ work right now, so I'm calling this one a win today.
Success.
In case you haven't joined us yet in this PPP Home Planner group, I highly recommend you checking it out here (goodness, the reviews we have on this planner have been simply amazing, and I love the sweet community we have inside too!) The physical copies of the planners are completely sold out, but we have the digital version still available and I know you will benefit from these lists if you need a little guidance in your home each week.
Head on over HERE to check out the 2020 Home Planner PDF if you're interested in this one. And I'd sure love for you to leave me a comment if you're joining in the fun too (I'm cheering for you!)

I love having this planner! I use it as a guide, and not really strict in following it. My part-time job changes hours often, so I get to the house management when I can. Most days, I need a little nude…and look at the planner and walah! The daily job (s) are pretty quick and easy to do. Releasing me to be able to work on the home projects I have been slowly accomplishing. Thanks so much for you and your team for pulling this all together. I have 3 grown girls with young families and would love to get a 2021 calender planner for each of them, near the end of the year. It would make a great Christmas gift.
