This giveaway has now ended. Congratulations to neidd….@gmail.com for winning the gift pack. Thanks so much to everyone who entered!

I have just the most fun giveaway to share with you today! The awesome folks from Moon Pie contacted me to see if I might be interested in sharing a Moon Pie Giveaway with you all, and goodness gracious, I was so stinkin’ excited. 😉

In fact, they sent us an entire case of Moon Pies to enjoy. Yup, my kids are very happy I decided to take up this blogging gig.

The best part though? Not only are they offering one huge gift pack for a very lucky PPP reader, they’re also offering every single one of you a $.55/1 Moon Pie coupon to print over HERE. And, right now Moon Pie and Craig Morgan are sending a free Moon Pie to the Troops when you take just a minute to send them one HERE.  It’s totally free for you, and such an awesome thing you can do to send a fun treat to troops overseas! They’ve already donated 14,000 Moon Pies, and are hoping to reach their grand total of 50,000 soon.

Would your family enjoy winning a Moon Pie prize pack? (I’m thinking I’ve got to hunt down the Salted Caramel Moon Pies somewhere soon!) Here’s how to enter to win:

  1. Required Entry:  Leave a comment on this post sharing the last time you had a Moon Pie (and if you’ve never had one, you can share that too – I was shocked a few days ago that a few of my son’s friends had never eaten one!)
  2. Additional Entries:  Send a free moon pie to the troops HERE and leave a comment to let me know
  3. Print the $.55/1 Moon Pie coupon, or “like” Moon Pie on Facebook or Twitter and leave a comment to let me know
  4. Share this post on your Facebook or Twitter page and leave a comment to let me know

I’ll choose one lucky winner Saturday, 11/19/2014 at 9PM Central Time to win. Good luck!

Disclosure: I was not compensated for this post, however we did receive a big box of Moon Pies (which my family was pretty excited about.) All opinions are (of course!) my own. 😉

  1. Jerry Cheatham says

I love moon pies and the salted carmel moon pies are great. The last time I had one was a month ago when I visited the moon pie store in Smoky Mountains. I love to put them in the microwave and get them a little melted. Yum.

  2. Christy Jacobs says

My BEST memory of my granny was the box of moon pies she always had on top of the refigerator. I haven't had one since she passed in 2011.

  3. Kay says

I have sent a Moon Pie to the troops. Great job Moon Pie. I had a mini yesterday. But the best ones are the regular size single ones, I don’t care for the double. Moon pie and RC great way to end a lunch.

  4. Vidisha says

Oh, it was easily after work last December when the pm pangs of hunger hit hard! I grabbed a 10 pack of chocolate minis in an attempt to alleviate the fast food run or over budget grocery trips because of my snack cravings after work– I threw a box of minis in my trunk and assumed 1 a day would keep crazy impulses at bay. NOT! I’d down two at a time (much to my delight, minis are amenable to several scrumptious consumptions!).

Anyway, that was the time. When I tried to stretch a box of 10, and it only lasted 5. Needless to say, it was a good week 🙂

  5. rhonda says

I sent a moon pie and its been about a year or so since I had one…I live in the Deep South, so its part of my heritage! 😉

  6. Neiddy says

The last time I had a moon pie was back in December, my grandma made Christmas goody bags for my kids and I took the moon pie from my little one’s bag. oopsies! i just told on myself

  7. Michelle Byram James says

So glad to see an opportunity to support the troops! The last Moon Pie I had was mint flavored. It was delicious, but I haven't seen the mint flavor in the store again. I signed up to send Moon Pies to the troops. I tried to print the coupon, but didn't see it. I did like Moon Pie on Facebook, so maybe I'll catch that coupon later! Hope so!

  8. Susan Fabiano says

not since I was a kid..but brings back memories of them being so big that my mother would have my sister and I share one. The catch was, one of us got to cut it in half, but the other one got to choose which half she wanted first! Got real good at precise cutting!

  9. Susan Cline Arguilla says

Sent one to the troops! Nothing like a moon pie and an ice cold coke in a glass bottle, a perfect southern treat! 🙂

  10. Cheryl says

I haven’t had a moonpie since I was a kid! I remember my Grandaddy used to eat them all the time! 🙂

  11. Kim Jacques McLean says

This is so nice of Moonpie to send these to the troops. I remember eating moonpies as a kid. The banana flavored moonpies are really good.

  12. Sharon Heintz says

  15. Judy Hart says

Sent one to the troops from Palmira, Panama! Home state Kentucky. The last time I had a moon pie and an RC was when I was in elementary school. My grandparents had a small grocery store. Good memories made in that small store.

  16. Bethany Owens Smith says

I had my first moonpie when I was 9 years old sitting on the back porch with my granddaddy. He always loved moonpies so every time I eat one it reminds me of granddaddy! They are yummy!

  17. alicia says

Last time I had a moon pie was probably last week. It was in my lunch pail, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

  18. S. Telle says

I have a Moon Pie once a year to remember my Grandma Ene by. She always had Moon Pies in the freezer. 🙂 It’s the best way to eat them.

And I will definitely be sending one to the troops!

  19. Brandi Mathews says

I want (need) to find the salted caramel Moonpies soon too! I get a box at SAMs club and eat one every morning for breakfast as I drive to work!! It is my secret- I don't share!

  20. Joy Quinn says

THAT WAS SO FUN!!! Sent one to the troops!!! Know those southern boys will love them a moon pie!!!!! Last time I ate one…traveling to our hunting camp in S. GA, stopped at Krystal and got one in a kids meal! Love that's how my kids learned about them!

  24. Denise says

It has been many months since I have had a moon pie. I have tried chocolate, vanilla and banana, but not the newer flavors. About time to get some more.

  25. Alice smith says

Hope we win!!!! Chase loves moon pies too! And goodness, Jackson looks so much older now! So handsome! Ok, three entries for me. Printed coupon and sent one to the troops. Also, last time we had one was about a month ago. Found them for $1 at the Dollar Tree!!

  26. Melissa Botta says

Had a Moon Pie last month on card night with my mother. She would reminisce about going to the store in town where her late sister Shirley worked and get fountain drinks. When she could she also liked to drink an RC and eat a Moon Pie. To my understanding, when she was growing up those often went hand in hand.

  27. Amanda Pacurar says

I think the last time I had a moon pie was when I was a young kid! Either that or I just remember seeing them in the store! 🙂

  28. Veronica W says

Love Moon Pies and love , love, love to be able to send them to the men and women who serve our country!

  29. Lynda Ott says

  31. janil morgan says

The last time I had a moon pie was a year ago since i just returned from Afghanistan. I purchased it at Cracker Barrel.

  32. Kim Bailey Jennings says

The last time I had a moon pie was with my pawpaw. We would get them on the way to go fishing! A great memory.

  33. Jennifer B. says

Just wanted to say that when trying to send a Moon Pie to the Troops, the link listed within the page you get to from Laurie’s middle/longer link (“Moon Pie and Craig Morgan are sending a free Moon Pie to the Troops”) in this post wouldn’t work, but the third link (“HERE”) took me straight there: http://moonpie.com/CraigMorgan/?q=craigmorgan

I sure hope these hold up in the heat for the Troops!

  34. Brandy E. says

    That’s a fun giveaway. 🙂 I don’t think I’ve ever had a moonpie, I’m not sure I would even know where to buy them…

  35. Kate Neal says

What a great give away! Somehow I think they'll enjoy the Moon Pies even more than my expired coupons. LOL! I don't know that I've ever had one… but looking forward to using the coupon to change that soon. Hope I can find some in my area. (Btw, did the above actions 1-4) 🙂
