A Free Kids Book – EVERY MONTH!
Did you know your kids can get a free book every month through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library?
Dolly Parton started the Imagination Library in 1995. The program works with local affiliates (like your local library system, for example), and sends high quality, age-appropriate books to every registered child with NO COST to the child's family from birth to age 5.
Since the program began, they have gifted 199,703, 329 books to children! What an impact to have on children's literacy.
How to Sign Up for Free Books
To sign up, visit the Check Availability page on the Imagination Library website. You'll enter your zip code and find out if there is an Imagination Library in your area.
Note: There is not an Imagination Library in every area. PPP team member, Laura, waited a few years before her local library partnered with the program as an affiliate.
If there is not currently a program in your area, you can enter your contact information to be notified when the program does become available.

What Books Do You Get?
When you sign up, you'll receive The Little Engine That Could as your Welcome Book.
After that, each child receives a free book that is brand new, age-appropriate, wrapped in plastic, and addressed to them (so they can see their mail!).
Once kids turn 5 they “graduate” from the program. Although there isn't another free program, we've got info here on the I Can Read! book subscription and how to get 5 I Can Read! Books for $5!
