Frequently Asked Questions
When are Home Depot Kids Workshops held?
They’re hosted the first Saturday of each month from 9AM to 12PM local time.
Do I need to register ahead of time?
Yes! Online registration is recommended to guarantee kit availability.
Are these workshops really free?
Absolutely — all materials and tools are provided at no cost.

These are awesome for little kids. I wish they offered teen ones. If you have littles do it if you can. So fun.
I’ve asked at Home Depot and was told that everyone is welcome to do this
My boys love these workshops, we’ve been going for years! Lowes does it too. In my area, Lowes will check to make sure you’ve registered before handling out the extra kits at the end, so make sure you register (where as Home Depot hands them out first come first serve). Also, both stores will let you pick up and take home – you don’t have to stay!
That’s so good to know! 🙂
Is there an age recommendation for the classes?
It’s recommended for children ages 5-12. Hope that helps! 🙂
