FREE Starbucks Coffee Grounds for Your Garden!

Did you know that you can get coffee grounds for your garden from Starbucks?  This is part of their sustainability plan with their Grounds for Your Garden program.

Here’s how it works –

• Customers can contact their local Starbucks store and check if recycled coffee grounds are available for pick-up.
• After requesting grounds in-store or at the drive thru, a Starbucks employee will scoop recycled coffee grounds into a bag that was formerly used to ship espresso beans to the store.
• Customers can then reuse the coffee grounds to beautify their garden and help their flowers bloom! In addition to gardening, customers can use coffee grounds as a natural cleaning scrub, fabric dye, exfoliant, insect repellent and more.

Note that pre-packaged bags of Grounds for Your Garden may not be available in all stores. Be sure to check with your barista to see if used coffee grounds are available at your local Starbucks.

And don't forget! You can also bring in ANY clean, reusable personal cup at Starbucks to score a $0.10 discount on your beverage, and in the U.S., Starbucks Rewards members will receive 25 Bonus Stars.
