Forever Stamps Prices are Going Up!
Heads up, penny pinchers! The United States Postal Service (USPS) has announced that the price of the First-Class Forever Stamp will once again rise from 73¢ to 78¢, effective July 13, 2025.
While a 5¢ increase might seem minor, it adds up—especially for businesses, frequent mailers, or anyone planning events like weddings or holiday card send-outs. However, purchasing Forever Stamps now before the price hike can lead to significant savings over time (see where to snag them below). Every little bit adds up!

- First-Class Forever Stamp: Increasing from 73¢ to 78¢
- Metered Letters: Going from 69¢ to 74¢
- Domestic Postcards: Rising from 56¢ to 62¢
- International Letters: Climbing from $1.65 to $1.70

This isn't an isolated change. USPS has indicated plans for regular price adjustments in the coming years, with potential increases scheduled twice annually through 2027, possibly beyond.

- Early 2000s: The price began to increase from 34¢ in 2001 to 37¢ in 2002, and then to 39¢ in 2006.

- Early 2010s: The price continued to rise, reaching 45¢ in 2012, 46¢ in 2013, and 49¢ in 2014.
- Recent Increases: The price has seen more significant increases in recent years, with increases from 55¢ in 2019 to 58¢ in 2021, 60¢ in 2022, 63¢ to 66¢ in 2023, 68¢ to 73¢ in 2024, and 78¢ in 2025.
