I was pretty skeptical about any use for this, but then I saw bread proving as one of the suggested uses and decided to order one and give it a try. Does it work? For yeast activation and bread proving, I say yes! I put pictures of my yeast when I first put it on, then after a 10 minute activation. It doubled as hoped. Then I put the picture of the dough immediately after kneading, then after a 30 minute rise on the mat at 154 degrees, or something close to that. In it’s oiled bowl with its towel. Rose beautifully. Then the bread loaf when first formed, and again after a 45 minute rise. As you can see, it did the job. I’ve a family member with dietary restrictions, so making specialized bread is a fact of life here. I’ve used this mat once. It only arrived earlier today. It’s already fast become one of my favorite things!
