I’m always excited to share a new giveaway with you, but this one might just be my favorite giveaway yet!  I recently shared how much I fell in love with the 360 Swiffer Duster after receiving a free sample through Swiffer’s Facebook page. (Sorry guys, the free samples are no longer available, but hopefully a few of you got them too!)  I sent my post over to the fabulous folks at Swiffer (because I thought they might enjoy seeing how much we all love them . . ), and they’ve offered five Swiffer 360 Dusters to give away to Passionate Penny Pincher readers!  (Pretty exciting, right?)

But it gets better (wayyyyyy better!):  when I contacted Swiffer I asked if they might consider donating a few Swiffer products to 305 8th Street, a local group home here in Huntsville Alabama that cares for eighteen mentally challenged adults.  Guess what??!!! (You’re not gonna believe this . . . at least I hardly did!) Swiffer is donating FIFTY Swiffer products to 8th Street Group Home . . . WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!  (Can you tell I’m just a wee bit excited?)

After sharing my excitement with Andrea who runs the program, she told me that 305 8th Street is just about to have a little re-construction work completed on the sixty-three year old home.  As you can imagine, a lot of dust will be flying, and of course those Swiffer products are just what they’ll need to keep those dust bunnies at bay for the eighteen sweet residents who live there.

I really can’t begin to share how impressed I am with Swiffer and Proctor & Gamble for their generosity, but since you guys have some incredibly (com)passionately-penny-pinched hearts, I know you understand.  Not only is Swiffer a company who has created an incredible product that I absolutely love (those Swiffer dusters are simply amazing for cleaning out blinds. . .amazing!), they’re also willing to share with those in need.  So  I’ll always have Swiffer Dusters on hand at my house, even if I can’t find a coupon for them . . and you know that’s saying something!

Would you like to win one of those awesome Swiffer 360 Dusters?  (You know you would!) Here are several different ways to win:

  1. Leave a comment sharing which room in your home needs a Swiffer 360 Duster the most (I’m afraid mine might just be the entire house . . . yikes!)
  2. Like Swiffer on Facebook and leave a comment to let me know
  3. Join Passionate Penny Pincher on Facebook and leave a comment to let me know (or just leave a comment if you’re already a Facebook fan.)
  4. Subscribe to Passionate Penny Pincher by email (or leave a comment if you already subscribe.)
Giveaway will end Saturday, 2/11/12 at 8 PM.

On a sidenote, if you’d like to make a donation directly to 305 8th Street or learn more about their mission, check them out over HERE.  I re-watched their videos last night and was moved to tears watching the work that they do each day.  If you’re in the North Alabama area, they always accept donations of canned foods, toiletries, and cleaning supplies, which can be dropped off directly at 305 8th Street.

Disclosure:  Swiffer is providing five Swiffer 360 Dusters to give away, as well as fifty to give to 305 8th Street.  All opinions are (of course!) my own. (I absolutely love my Swiffer and it’s quickly become my favorite cleaning tool to use each day!)

  3. Katie Fairchild says

I would need a swiffer the most in the sunroom, as it is so important that I keep all my house very clean due to caring for an elder. I have very large kitchen as well, and I am sure it would be handy there as well. Actually, most of my house could use it except for the living room, den, dining room and bedrooms. I already subscribe to PPP and like PPP (actually love PPP) I also liked the Swiffer site, and actually saw that some of my friends like it as well.

  4. Lori says

I bought one of these a few months back because of a coupon deal and I put it away totally forgetting all about it. I saw your post the other day and remembered that I had bought one. Well I found it just in time, had to clean for big super bowl party and it did great! I was able to clean so much faster!! Please enter me into your giveaway, I could use another:) I used it on my whole house!
    Thanks

  5. Rachel says

Our living room and office definitely need some Swiffering! I love love love Swiffer Wetjet. It makes scrubbing the floor fun!!

  6. Amber says

My daughters’ playroom could use some TLC, but I’m afraid to go in there! Swiffer would make the job more bearable. 🙂

  7. Becky says

My bedroom has the exact same blinds that they use in there commercial……They are always dusty and would love to try this new product.

  8. Whitney says

My bedroom, though small, could use the Swiffer the most! And of course, as everyone said, all the blinds. 🙂

  9. Danielle says

Oh, my heart just melted when I read where you”ve suggested the swiffers be donated. Once my sister turns 20, she will live in a similar home. – A place where she can have more independence but still be guided. Makes me love you even more! 🙂

    • Laurie says

Danielle ~ bless your heart, I’m sure you appreciate this so much more than so many of us! Thanks so much for your sweet words, it really is things like this that makes PPP totally worth every minute that it takes for me. 🙂 Give your sister a hug for me!

  10. Mary says

My whole house could use a swiffer duster, but especially my bedroom. As i mentioned on your site before, we are about to undertake a major foundation repair and have dust everywhere from the holes cut into the slab.

  11. Lori says

My boys’ room needs swiffering the most! I am a dust fanatic (it bothers me to see specs of dust on furniture) and they have black dressers. Every time I enter there room, I grab my swiffer.

  12. Candice says

I think most of my house could use a good cleaning. I think mostly our basement, but I would use them everywhere.

  13. Ana says

The nursery. We did some renovations in there before the baby came, and despite several top to bottom cleanings, there’s still dust constantly creeping out from somewhere to coat the room, and I hate to think of my girl licking that stuff!

  14. Julie says

I use Swiffer dusters everywhere! I especially love the long-handled one. It reaches baseboards, upper cabinets, and light fixtures with EASE!

  15. Ruth says

My entire house needs dusting every day. Guess I would say my living room because this is where we entertain and dust bunnys hide the most.

  16. Bree says

The computer room that everyone uses can get so dusty! It doesn’t make sense.

Props to you Laurie for thinking of others and asking them to help your community. That was very thoughtful of you.

  17. Holly Green says

I am a facebook, follower, by the way I was in Publix yesterday and heard someone in the checkout aisle next to mine mention your website as THE ONE to use if you shop at Publix on County Line. So proud of you!

  18. Julie McInnis says

That is sooooo exciting!!! I hope you are able to get more companies to do the same thing for them. 8th street needs all the help they can. Thanks for all that you do.

  19. Jennifer says

I would love a Swiffer duster! I can picture giving it to my 8 year old son and telling him to clean/dust his room. Thanks so much!!!!!!

  20. Stephanie says

If I won a Swiffer Duster, I would use it on our bedroom and our entertainment center! There is way too much dust going on there for me to get with a dustrag. I can take a break from studying and swiff away!

I have liked Swiffer, and already joined PPP on Facebook, I’m already subscribed to the emails.

    I hope I win!

    Stephanie

  21. Amy T. says

My bedroom is the dustiest room in the house! I tend to worry too much about the living room, and office which people can see when they come in and not so much about my bedroom because no guests usually see it. =)

  22. Mary says

I’d love to win one of these! Hmm, I’d say my kitchen definitely needs the most attention. My blinds have dust, dirt, and peanut butter thanks to two very active children!

  23. Susan says

I would love to win a swiffer duster! I’ve used them before and know that they are as wonderful as you say they are. I think the room most needing the use of the duster would be our bedroom blinds. They seem to collect major dust during the winter months! Thanks so much, I enjoy your blog!!!

  24. Hannah says

Would love to use these on my hardwood floors all throughout the house, plus I have 36 hardwood stairs throughout the house too!!

  25. Jennifer B. says

I have blinds in all my windows, so it may well be my entire house that needs the Swiffer 360 Duster, but I’d say the main living room area would be the one room I’d name if I had to pick just one. That’s the one other folks would be most likely to see so the one I’d be most likely to dust first if I win!

  26. factord_agin says

I would love to win one of the Swiffer 360’s. We just had the floors redone in the living, foyer and dining rooms….but the kitchen is the room that had the most dust (go figure!) That was a week ago and I’m still finding sawdust…gag!

  27. Vanessa Rowan says

    1. Umm, like you, I’d probably have to say my whole house! :o( YIKES! I work full time, have two kids and the house gets the bum end of the deal! I do what I gotta do to stay afloat, but the swiffer sample would be AMAZING!! I have tried some swiffer products and have them in my house, but haven’t tried the 360 duster yet! I hope I win!! 🙂

    2. I liked Swiffer on facebook.

    3. I already like your page on facebook! 🙂

    4. I already subscribe to your emails!! 🙂

I hope I wasn’t supposed to leave a separate comment for each one!

  28. Sarah Moore says

My family room is the room that needs the Swiffer 360 Duster the most. We have a tiny house with a toddler, 2 dogs and a cat. You can only imagine how this room can look!
