Surprise Your Grad with a Money Pizza Box 🎓💰 (DIY Tutorial)
Looking for a quick and easy way to gift money to a graduate without it seeming boring and impersonal? This DIY Graduation Gift is a SUPER cute way to display some spending money and gift cards in a pizza box of all things 🙂
My friend shared this super cute idea for a DIY Graduation gift with money that she saw, and I had to give it a try!
It took less than 30 minutes to make, is a great fun way to give cash (which is what most folks love anyways!), and you'll feel like you totally rocked one gift this year. 🙂
Here's what you need to make this money pizza for a graduation gift:
- Repositionable tape or double sided tape
- Gift cards
- Pizza Box (I grabbed this one for free at Dominos)
- Cash (I used about 15 one dollar bills)
- Optional: Shrink wrap, blow dryer (to mold the shrink wrap together)
How to make a Graduation Pizza Box Money Gift
Attach a small piece of double sided tape to the bottom of a dollar bill. Place onto the bottom of the pizza box. Then, place additional bills in a clockwise direction, slightly overlapping but keeping the small edges in the shape of a large circle (your pizza).
Fan all the bills out until you have a complete, solid circle.
Next, place gift cards (if desired) on top as your “toppings”. You could also use quarters or dollar coins for this.
Optional: Wrap in shrink wrap and blow dry to shrink it down (You can watch me in the video linked for visual learners on an easy way to do this!)
Add a note on the pizza box lid. You can handwrite it, or grab our free printable here!
There you have it! A fun, memorable gift for any graduate.
P.S. I thought it would be super fun as a teacher gift too. Note – if you do give it to a teacher you'll want to make sure their school allows you to give teachers cash ~ many only allow gift cards, so find out ahead of time before preparing.
