I have tight spaces between my teeth so just using floss doesn't get all the plaque. There are several tools in this kit that help me reach places brushing and flossing don't. The pieces are heavy duty stainless steel. I haven't quite gotten the hang of using the mirror but with practice I'm sure that will be a help too. Very happy with this kit. Plus it comes in a nice holder so the tools each have their own spot. So glad I got this. I think my dentist will be also.
