So true….I live within 5 miles of 4 different CVS stores with my main store less than a mile away. That is why it so important I think for everyone to find what works for their personal situation. If I lived in the country I could not do what I am doing. The grocery market here is extremely competitive.
However, our property taxes are a nightmare :).

Another good strategy to employ at CVS is to not rush down there on Sunday when the sale starts. I try to wait and see if my email gives me a $4 off $20 coupon. The machines and register coupons make my hay at CVS combined with the coupon deals. Anytime you can cook up 20-40% off the top FREE is coming plus it disciplines you not to buy to much.

Such a good tip – the biggest problem in our area is that most of the things are gone if you wait, but *sometimes* they re-stock if we’re lucky!

Also, the registers are printing out $5 off $25 for baby products so that can attach to the diapers.
Picked up 93 Huggies diapers with the $3 off coupons for a hair over $8 including tax with the extra bucks. Who needs Walgreens with the CVS simple system? I bought a .33 cent caramel with my wife’s card to see if another $5 off $25 coupon would pop out. WOOOT…it did. I am going to use that with the Training diapers by Huggies….$3 plus tax for 3 packages. Double WOOOOT!
Beating the man 🙂

LOVE it Jim…. you did great!!! And you’re so right about Walgreens vs. CVS ~ I want to love Walgreens but they make it so hard. Thanks so much for sharing!
