Christmas Charities
I have to be honest with everyone ~ my favorite CHRISTmas catalog we get in the mail is the Compassion International Gift Catalog! One of my sweetest Christmas memories a few years ago is giving my two girls a budget to buy items for those in need from the Compassion catalog.
My oldest loves goats, so she chose to buy goats for a family. That family will now have goat's milk and cheese all year long! My youngest bought medicine to help a sick child. There are tons of options ~ from Bibles to art classes to mosquito nets.
If your family has room in the budget, I would highly recommend finding an organization where you can browse through their online Christmas catalog to help those in need!
Here are a few of my favorites:
- Compassion International Gift Catalog
- Samaritan's Purse Gift Catalog
- World Vision Gift Catalog
- Food for the Poor Gift Catalog ( I haven't heard of this one, but it looks pretty cool)
I also recommend checking out the Advent Conspiracy ministry. It is a really neat concept of spending less and giving more.
Did you know when that PPP supports missionaries?
What excites me most about this site is that a portion of any proceeds from this site go directly towards mission work.
Currently we help support local and overseas mission work, including the Tatum Family, His Cherished Ones Ministries, His Hands Mission, Go Ministries, and Suffer the Children, Scarlet Thread Ministries and Far East Broadcasting to name a few.
So, any time you order a deal we post from Amazon, shop a Black Friday Kohl's deal through one of our links, or purchase a Passionate Penny Pincher product, you’re also supporting the work of missionaries in other countries.
What is your favorite Christmas Charity or story of giving? I'd love for you to comment. 🙂
