Ingredients for Slow Cooker Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars
- Butter
- Brown sugar
- Vanilla
- Eggs
- Flour
- Salt
- Chocolate Chips
How to make Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars using your Slow Cooker
Start by lining your slow cooker with foil in the bottom to create a little bowl. Your bars won't rise much so you only need a few inches of coverages along the sides.
Next, in a large mixing bowl you'll combine your melted butter and brown sugar, stirring until smooth. Add the vanilla and eggs and mix. Finally, add the flour and salt, and stir until everything is all mixed together and smooth.
Note: This is the part I like the most about this recipe – just a few simple ingredients that are much easier to combine than the many steps of regular chocolate chip cookies!
Then, pour your batter into the bottom of the slow cooker and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Cover, and cook on high 2.5 – 3 hours.
Let cool at least 1 hour before serving. You can remove the ceramic crock from the base to allow the bars to cool faster.

Tips
This recipe is so yummy but our biggest tip for success is to keep an eye on it to avoid overcooking or burning. Start checking at the 2 hour mark to make sure the sides are not getting too brown.
You can rotate your crock if it looks like the sides are cooking faster than the center by using oven mitts to pick up the ceramic crock and rotate it around.
Once your center is set, your bars are done! Feel free to remove the crock to start cooling sooner than 2.5 hours if your bars look done.
