This shrimp recipe is so simple and uses just a few ingredients. Plus, my favorite part is just how quickly this is cooked! Since it is shrimp, this recipe is done and on the table in literally less than 5 minutes – I’m not kidding!

Ingredients for Blackened Shrimp

  • Uncooked shrimp – use fresh or previously frozen & thawed
  • Cajun blackening seasoning
  • Olive oil
  • Butter

How to make Blackened Shrimp (the easy way!)

Pat thawed shrimp dry with paper towel. Place in a large bowl and sprinkle with blackened seasoning. Toss well until each piece is covered.

In a large skillet, combine olive oil and butter. Heat over medium-high and add shrimp. Cook shrimp just about one minute per side until opaque.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tsps Cajun blackened seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  • Pat shrimp dry with paper towels, and place into a bowl. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter together over medium-high heat. Cook shrimp until opaque, about 1 minute per side.
