Bible Journaling Highlighters & Pens
Hey! Lilly here ~ I just had to share with you my latest find!
With the New Year quickly approaching, I'm trying to prepare myself for my New Year's resolution… to read the Bible cover to cover. I recently found a podcast, The Bible Recap, that you can follow along with which supposedly makes this easy to do, so I'm excited and determined. 🙂
For this challenge, I ordered a brand new Bible (I've had the same one since about 4th grade and it has been WELL loved, but it's also WELL decorated from all the highlighting I did when I was younger). It's even on sale right now for way less than what I paid for mine.
One thing that has always bothered me is that the pages are SUPER thin, so EVERYTHING seems to bleed through – making the next page a bit harder to read or make notes. As you can see from the photos above & below, you can easily see how the highlighting has bled through the pages.
With my new Bible looking so fresh and clean, I wanted to make sure that the pens and highlighters I use do it justice this go around. I did a little research, read some reviews, and ended up ordering this Mr. Pen No Bleed Bible Pens and Highlighter Set – it gets rave reviews, too!
Here are a few features of these highlighters –
- No Bleeding
- No Smearing or Smudging
- Vibrant Colors – yet Transparent
- Fast Drying
- Consistent & Smooth Marking
- Easy to Twist Up
- Can Be Sharpened
Y'all – I AM SO IMPRESSED! Truly and seriously, these highlighters are AWESOME! You really cannot see what you've highlighted on the back side of the page!
I know it is such a small thing but it also just makes me happy and somehow really helps in encouraging me to carve out the time to wake up a little earlier to spend that time reading my Bible.
If you're looking for just the highlighters and not pens, you can find an 8-pack here – they're actually a bit cheaper than the pen and highlighter combo pack here.
I like the pens, but I LOVE the highlighters a tad bit more. 🙂
I encourage you, whatever your New Years resolution is, to find something that might give you the smallest bit of encouragement in achieving your goals this year ~ good luck!!
OH – and if you're curious, I found this highlighting guide for your Bible that I thought was really neat!
And, if you need Bible Journals, grab a few PPP Bible Journals (the paper is so buttery!).
