Aldi Recall on Shredded Cheese

Heads up if you're an Aldi shopper – there is currently an Aldi Recall on about 480 cases of Happy Farms 12oz Colby Jack Shredded Cheese due to possible steel fragments contaminating the product!

The recall was issued in 4 states where it was distributed: Ohio, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Michigan.  The package’s UPC is 4061463330840, with “Best By” dates of July 13 or 14, 2025. The recall number is F-0641-2025.  The recall was first issued in February but has been upgraded by the FDC to a Class 2 Recall – which is more serious.

What to do if you have this cheese in your fridge/freezer?

If you purchased the recalled cheese, the FDA recommends returning to Aldi for a refund, or just throwing it out.

This recall comes on the heels of another Aldi Recall earlier in the year for their Casa Mamacita 20oz Chicken & Cheese Taquitos.  This also was reported to have contained metal in a few incidents.

If you have these in your freezer with the Best By Dates 07/03/25 and 09/25/25 – you should return them for a refund. The box has establishment number “EST. P-40327” on the package.
