Gift Ideas for Runners
If you’re looking for a gift for someone who is a runner, we’ve put together a list of over 30 items that you can grab. Just be aware that runners can sometimes be a picky bunch about things – so if you know what brand they prefer – grab that.  If you aren’t sure – double check the return policies so that you don’t end up wasting your money!
Fitness Watch
Some of the most common fitness watches for runners are Garmin and Coros. Many still swear by Apple watches and some still even use Fitbit watches. There are a LOT of options at different price points with various features too.
Running Socks
Socks are one of the most fun ways to accessorize a running outfit! Cotton is rotten, so socks can be really important to runners and they’re an INVESTMENT, so any runner will be thrilled to get a new pair as a gift. Bombas, Balega, Feetures, Darn Tough, and Creepers are great places to start.
Shirts
Runners HATE laundry and have a lot of it, so they’re never going to turn down another running shirt! Look for moisture wicking and consider the climate that your runner typically runs in.
Shorts / Pants
Just like shirts, shorts and pants for running are always welcome! If you live in a colder climate, really nice fleece lined leggings would be a fantastic gift – some can get really pricey but we found a few on a really nice discount last year.
Beanie
Cold weather runners rejoice! Beanies help keep your head warm and can be another way to add some style to your running outfit. It’s also an economical choice if you’re looking for a gift.
Earbuds
Shokz headphones are probably the most popular brand we are seeing right now with runners – the open ear technology has really taken off and adds a layer of safety so you can hear your surroundings. Beats and Airpods are also really popular!

Safety Gear
Noxgear features a light up vest you can wear and you can also grab a chest lamp with this one. Headlamps and light up bands and gloves are great for night running as well.

Running Themed Shirts
Everyone loves a fun themed t-shirt and something that you can grab for anyone!Â
Sunglasses
Goodr sunglasses come in a TON of different colors and styles and have a nice price point too!
Massage Gun
Great for working out sore muscles and these also have a large range of pricing.
Running Themed Mug
Just like shirts, every runner will just love this!

Insulated Handheld Water Flask
LOTS of options out there, but these softsided Nathan flasks are a best seller.
Foam Roller
Consider a travel size or thinner foam roller if you’re not sure how much space is available!
Necklace
If your runner has a big race coming up – consider getting them a necklace from that race. If not, here are a few other options.
Water Bottle
Runners love hydration! Grab a water bottle like an owala.
Electrolytes
Electrolytes are a must for long distance runners and there are a ton of options! Some popular ones are Liquid IV, LMNT, Waterboy, or Gatorade.Â

Recovery Slides / Sandals
Oofos, Hoka, or Crocs make great options to keep feet cozy 🙂Â
Dry Shampoo
If your runner runs a lot and has longer hair, no doubt they use a LOT of dry shampoo. This is something practical that they’ll love!Â
Car Seat Cover
Sweating into your car seat is not something that you want to do over and over again. Grab a car seat cover to protect the car seat from sweat or dirt. Why not just use a towel?  These car seat covers have hoods and straps to keep them in place and they’re plenty long to cover the ENTIRE seat.Â
Running Hat
Great to protect from sun or rain and SO many super fun patterns!
Road ID Bracelet
Safety first! This is especially good to have if you have any known medical issues or run in remote areas.
Gloves
Great for cold weather – gloves are a must to have.  Consider even ski gloves if you’re buying for someone in VERY cold climate.Â
Chafing Products
Not the most fun item but would be very appreciated – Mega Babe, Body Glide, Gold Bond and Squirrel’s Nut Butter are all great brands to start with.Â
Gum
LOTS of runners like to use gum while they run. Find out what kind your runner uses and load them up!
Lip Balm
Not only can lip balm help with dry lips, but it can be used on your eyebrows to keep sweat from falling into your eyes – true story! Â
Sunscreen
A must for any outdoor runner.
Medal / Bib Display
There are SO many options for these and a lot of them can be customized too!
Shadowbox Display
If your runner has been working really hard toward a goal at a big race, consider a shadow box display to hold all of their memorabilia.  These can be customized as well and have a large price range.

Shoes
Shoes are VERY runner specific! If you don’t know for sure what brand and style (and size!) your runner uses – consider a gift card to a local running store. That way they can get exactly what they need.
Fuel
If your runner is training for longer distances, they likely will fuel on their runs with gels or chews.  Again, if you know what they use, grab that – but if not, consider a sample box from somewhere like The Feed.
Spibelt or Flipbelt are good options. Great for carrying your phone, keys + more!
Running Vest
Nathan and Salomon are great options. Consider the distance your runner will be doing and pick their favorite color!
