St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Cinnamon Rolls

PPP contributor, Hannah, here! 👋

I absolutely love celebrating holidays and finding simple ways to add a little extra magic to everyday life. When my three daughters saw these shamrock cinnamon rolls, their faces instantly lit up. We sat down together to enjoy our festive treat and ended up making a sweet little memory in the process.

As a busy mom, I appreciate recipes that keep things easy, which is why using store-bought cinnamon rolls was a total win (because who really has time to let dough rise?). This recipe is low-stress but makes a big impact. The only slightly tricky part was shaping the dough into clovers, but even that was fun to figure out. My girls adored the cute shamrock shapes, and they were especially excited about the Lucky Charms marshmallows on top!

Whether you’re hosting a holiday brunch or simply surprising your family with a little morning magic, these sweet shamrocks are sure to bring smiles.

Ingredients:

  • 1 can of cinnamon rolls (store-bought works perfectly!)
  • Green food coloring
  • Lucky Charms marshmallows – you can buy a bag of JUST marshmallows, or pick them out of your cereal 😉
  • Green and gold sprinkles

How to Make Shamrock Cinnamon Rolls

Unravel each cinnamon roll dough strip carefully. Shape the strip into a 4-leaf clover (because they’re lucky!) and leave a small tail if you’d like a stem. Make sure to pinch the dough firmly in the center so it holds together while baking.

Place the shaped clovers on a baking sheet and bake according to the package directions.

Let the rolls cool slightly.

Grab the frosting that came with the cinnamon rolls, and add a few drops of green food coloring to it!

Now you can decorate! Spread the green frosting generously over each shamrock. Top with Lucky Charms marshmallows and festive sprinkles for extra sparkle.

Serve warm for the best gooey, cinnamon-sugar goodness! I loved how these turned out! These Shamrock Cinnamon Rolls are the perfect way to add a little festive fun to your St. Patrick’s Day morning with your kids. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! 🍀
