I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to work on our “Be Awesome in April” Cleaning Challenge today.  (If you’d like to join me, head on over HERE.)

I did not want to deal with this project today.

Like.

did. NOT.

I rolled up my sleeves though anyways, pulled on my big girl panties even though I soooo didn’t want to, and just got to work.

B.l.e.c.k.

I scrubbed.

de-gunked.

And got it all back together.

The best part?

I found more dinner. 🙂

In fact, tonight we’re having leftover buffet, with all of our freezer leftovers.

(My family’s going to revolt, but they’ll survive one night, right? I did mix up a batch of brownies to soften the blow.)

I even planned a few more meals for the week with what else we had left in the freezer for the rest of the week.

The truth?

There are days when we just don’t want to.

When de-cluttering and de-gunking just sounds like no fun at all.

But I promise.

I. promise.

When you go ahead and get it done, your day will look so much brighter.

And you can check one more thing off that list.

Thank. heavens. 😉

I’d sure love for you to join me this month as we’re getting our homes + bodies + minds in order, so be sure to also take a second to snag your free Be Awesome in April printable over HERE.

I always put the meat in “Food Saver” bags when I get home from the store. You will get more then 3-6 months time. Like those pork chops you threw out, I’m sure it wasn’t long before they were freezer burned. Also, the Food Saver foods will lay flatter giving you more freezer space. I do put mine away after each use

You cracked me up cleaning out your freezer today. I missed the live show but watched it later. I laughed a couple of times – yes it was funny and I do some of the same things. I couldn’t believe all the BANANAS. So funny – and they were loose. We purchased a freezer for our garage recently and right now it is so organized. Hope it stays that way. A shelf (each) for chicken, pork and beef. Drawer for frozen vegs. and miscellaneous, and a shelf for our garden stuff (tomatoes and green beans). I have a freezer under the fridge like yours, I will have to clean it soon. I really try to use up leftovers, but we love them, so usually no problem. I hate to throw things away too. Thanks for doing this.

It was RIDICULOUS! All the bananas are gone now, and I will NEVER put them in the freezer unless they’re in a bag. CRAZY! 🙂 So glad you’ve enjoyed the challenge, and glad I’m not the only one who hates throwing stuff away! 🙂
