Here's just an easy (fun!) way to brighten your child's day after school. My kids always come home starving (or at least that's what they tell me . . .) and while I usually try to steer them towards a healthy treat, I surprised them this week with cupcakes at the door!
I used the $.25 cake mix and frosting that I'd gotten a few weeks ago at Dollar General, added some fun $1 cupcake toppers for Michaels, and they thought life was pretty fancy. If you haven't surprised your children recently with a simple treat, take a few minutes this week to splurge on them!
If you have any other special things you do for your kids to encourage them, I'd love to hear them! You can also check out a few more penny-pinched Valentine's ideas over on my Pinterest board if you love visiting Pinterest like I do. 😉
