These shorts are super cute, have some stretch to them and will go with everything! Make sure you size up:) While these are on the shorter side, they're not terrible (For reference, I'm 5'5″ and 140 lbs.) I got a Medium size 8-10, and fit more like a 6, maybe an 8!

I found them! These SONOMA high-waisted shorts are my FAVORITE jean shorts and they're just $17 right now. The mid-thigh length is perfect for this 40 year old mom but the little “destroyed” touches make them feel more current. The cuff is sewn at the side so they won't come unrolled in the wash.
They come in sizes up to 18, in 10 different colors, and with a couple different styles. They also come in Curvy! (Button fly, frayed hem and cuffed hem)
Size: They run a little large so you'll probably want to go down if you're in between sizes.

These are the COMFIEST shorts – I ordered the first pair not sure what to expect but loved them so much I went back and got another color! They have stretch to them and they're not too short at all – plus you can't beat the price at under $13.
*We also found them at Walmart for a little more – however the stock is selling out fast!
