With Labor Day just around the corner, I figured we all needed a few quick go-to recipes for the holiday! This is a perfect side if you've got lots of kids running around, and the grown-ups will enjoy it too (my hubby loved it). And if you're in a hurry and just need a quick dinner this week, warm some rolls and add a side salad for a quick hurry-up-and-eat-it-dinner.
I know this one isn't health food, but it is awfully yummy and a special treat at our house! If you'd like a health-i-fied-less-processed version that would also be a deal this week, check out the Daily Diner's Mac and Cheese.
Here's what you'll need . . .
2 cups elbow macaroni Mueller’s Pasta BOGO $1.29, use $2/5 Mueller’s Products
12 oz. Velveeta Kraft Velveeta BOGO $3.85, use $5/5 Kraft Products HERE
1/2 stick butter or margarine
pinch of salt
1/2 cup milk
Cook macaroni according to package directions until almost done. Meanwhile, melt 8 oz. of the Velveeta and all the margarine or butter until smooth and creamy. Combine with macaroni, place in greased casserole dish, and pour milk over the top. Slice the rest of the Velveeta into slices and top noodles, bake at 350 for 20 minutes, serve and enjoy!
