Love finding a deal? Check out these Walmart hidden clearance tips and tricks – plus a few clearance deals we've found at our stores!
Walmart Hidden Clearance
Love finding clearance bargains? Mary here! I recently heard about a bunch of Walmart hidden clearance on TikTok – and I decided to head in-store to see what goodies my store had.
I was a little skeptical as my store never seems to have the same deals that others find, but I decided to try anyways. Note that I didn't find a ton of deals, BUT I scored a few steals on bras, underwear, and more! 🙂
First things first…my BIGGEST tip when looking for Walmart Hidden Clearance is SCAN, SCAN, SCAN! If you see a clearance display or yellow stickers, ALWAYS be sure to scan those items with the Walmart app! Often times, they're marked down more than what the tag says, so don't assume the tag is right.
To start scanning, open the Walmart app and click the little scanner icon at the top right in the search bar. You'll then be able to scan any tag or label to see what the price will actually be at the register.
Then just go around the store and start scanning – it's like a treasure hunt! 🙂 And you don't have to limit yourself to scanning only clearance items – be sure to scan regular priced items too as they may be marked down but not have the correct tag (those are the real hidden clearance gems!).
Here are a few examples of why it's so important to always scan, scan, SCAN! Take a peek below!
Walmart Clearance – Bras!
While clearance inventory varies from store to store, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for possible clearance on bras, underwear, and more (TikTok has reported bra clearance as well!). The best part is that I decided to scan all of the yellow tags and they rang up for even LESS than the clearance tag!
As you can see, this Secret Treasures Women's Seamless Comfy Bra has a clearance tag of $7 (Reg. $11.98) – but scanned at ONLY $2.50 when I used the Walmart app. WOWZA!
Next, this Secret Treasures Women's Full Coverage Wireless Bra had a clearance tag of $6 (Reg. $11.98) – but also scanned at just $2.50 in the Walmart app. OK, this is getting exciting! 😀
I also found this No Boundaries Women's Bonded Scoop Bra with a clearance tag of $7 (Reg. $11.94) – but it also scanned at just $2.50 in the Walmart app. What a steal!
Then I found this No Boundaries Women's Bonded Racerback Bra with a clearance tag of $7 (Reg. $11.94) – but it also scanned at just $2.50 in the Walmart app.
And, this Secret Treasures Women's Full Figure Wire-Free Bra had a clearance tag of $8.50 (Reg. $14.96) – but also scanned at just $3.50 in the Walmart app.
I also found a bunch of other bras marked down to $5 (Reg. $7.88) – but the tags were accurate on those so not quite as exciting of a deal. (If you need new bras, definitely be sure to look around!).
Walmart Clearance – Panties!
BUT then I stumbled across the panties aisle and found tons of Warner's Muffin Top 3-pack panties on clearance for $7.50 (Reg. $11.96)…OR SO I THOUGHT??! When I started scanning around with the Walmart app, they all rang up at ONLY $2.50 (that's just 83¢ per panty) – WOOHOO!
These Blissful Benefits by Warner's No Muffin Top Breathable Hipster Panties (3-pack) had a clearance tag of $7 (Reg. $11.96), BUT rang up at only $2.50 in the Walmart app. WHAT???
There were a bunch of different sizes and colors available, too!
And these Blissful Benefits by Warner's Ultra Soft Ultra Lace Waist Panties (3-pack) also had a clearance tag of $7 (Reg. $11.96), BUT rang up at only $2.50 in the Walmart app. SWEET!
Walmart Clearance – Sweatshirts!
Lastly, I also found this display of Time and Tru Women's Crewneck Sweatshirts on clearance for $7 (Reg. $11.98) – but I wasn't really interested in any of the colors that were available in my size.
BUT then I checked through a separate clearance rack nearby and they had even more of the same sweatshirts in different colors with clearance tags of $9.50 (Reg. $11.98)! Not sure why they were in different spots, but I decided to scan the barcode to make sure they were on sale too. And sure enough, they rang up for $7 in the app!
You can also find these sweatshirts in select colors on clearance for just $7 on Walmart.com – they're super soft and comfy, but not too hot and thick. They're perfect for Spring! 🙂
I walked into Walmart not really expecting to find much, but walked away with a few fun finds. The moral of the story when shopping at Walmart is SCAN, SCAN, SCAN!

Not seeing this kohls blender deal??? Which one? None are 170

I had the same experience here. Bird food was $4.00 cheaper when I scanned it but the clerk said I’d have to buy it online and pick it up for that price. Seems unusual that to make them shop for my products and bring them to my car is cheaper? ♀️

I was in Walmart Thursday and headed to the clearance aisle. I scanned each item I was interested in to check prices. There were a boz set of ozark cast iron pans on clearance for 29.98. When I scanned it, it came up $25. I did have to show my phone at self checkout for them to adjust price down to 25. Another item, a keyboard, scanned at $54 but when I clicked item on app, it shipped at $49. The ckout employee said she couldn’t change prices if it was the shipped price per her mgr. I bought it anyway then rolled over to customer service. I asked if they matched online price, she said yes and scanned with her walmart scanner (not the phone walmart app like the employee used), it showed $49, so she gave me $5 back.
So I saved an additional $10 off already clearance prices. So yes, scan, scan, scan and don’t be nervous about asking for your price to be adjusted.

Has anyone else had a problem with the app not scanning accurately?
Cassie says
Yes but customer service will adjust it to the scanned price.

I have always used my Walmart to scan in the store. Recently, all my items were coming up cheaper.. I tried to redeem those prices at checkout and they told me they will no longer honor app prices because those are to encourage Walmart Plus users.

Oh that’s odd Jodi! Does your store have self checkout?
Sandy says
Scanning with the app doesn’t always mean that the item will ring up that price at the checkout. My Walmart wouldn’t adjust the price to match.
Laurie says
So sorry to hear your store won’t match the app price Sandy! (Several readers have said their store will match it, but it may vary by location). Thanks for your feedback!

The Warners are not pulling up on sale
Mary ~ PPP Team says
Hi Dawn – the clearance we found is in store only so be sure to check your store! Hope that helps! 🙂
Sarah says
How do you get the scanned price at the register?
Mary ~ PPP Team says
Hi Sarah! The price that you see when you scan an item in the Walmart mobile app is the price it will automatically ring up at the register. Hope that helps!
Nikki says
If you show the cashier the price on your phone they will adjust it for you.
