Wasp Trap For Your Porch
Jamie here! Do you have wasps or yellow jackets swarming around your deck or outside area? We do – and this thing helped tremendously!
The wasps make it so that we can’t sit outside while entertaining until evening because they scare the guests away. I was worried we wouldn’t be able to hang out outside when we have people over this summer – so I ordered this wasp trap on Amazon in a 2 pack for around $24 (just $12 each)
And… it really works! I’ve had it hanging up for two weeks now and it’s definitely been attracting and trapping wasps and yellow jackets (+ a few flies and gnats). It will attract yellow jackets, or hornets or wasps that might be troubling you. And if you hang it horizontally it’s supposed to attract carpenter bees!
Let me know if you’ve had any luck with this or other wasp traps – I’d love to hear any tips you have!

How do you empty the trap? What sugar mixture do you make/what are the ratios? How do you re-use this trap?
There will be instructions on how to empty the trap when you receive it, and there are solution refills that you can buy separately. Hope this helps!
If it attracts these will there be more bees around? Do you see less bees after this has been up for awhile?
I have only seen LESS wasps and yellow-jackets – not more!
Does the coke need to be flat?
I don’t think it needs to be flat, the coke I used just happened to be! Let us know if you try it!
Anyone know if this will catch flies?
Watch it carefully. Bees will start to collect in it. The liquid they sell only attracts wasps and hornets, putting in sugar syrup will attract the bees you don’t want to kill.

I would love to get rid of the wasps but will this also attract and kill honeybees?
Hmmm Linda, I’m not sure! None of the reviews that customers have left have caught honeybee’s. So sorry I can’t be of more help!
