Have you ever had a “if-you-give-a-moose-a-muffin” kind of morning?Â
Ahem.
Especially at Target?
Thank you for not making me feel all alone. 🙂Â
This morning my husband called and said I absolutely needed to get out and do something, because we had a little over an inch of the prettiest snow you can imagine.Â
The trees are just draped in white, and since he knows I very rarely leave my office, he wanted to make sure I got out at least a bit to take in the scenery.
So, being the obedient wife that I am (not really!), I ran an “if you give a moose a muffin” trip out.Â
As I headed out, I knew I needed to go to Kroger to pick up a few items, but decided to go to the one further away from my house because I'd have to follow along the river, which my husband said was too pretty to miss today.
Of course, as soon as I made it out of our neighborhood, I realized my car had not one, but two service lights on.
That's fine ~ I'll just get an oil change and they can check it, right?Â
(At 10 years old and 185,000 miles my cute minivan needs some TLCÂ every once in awhile. I'm okay with that.)
So I headed to town, and then realized . . .
I was near Target.
Target, where my friend Cheryl had scored some crazy cute Easter things yesterday.
Yup, I had to go.
(Remember, I was going to Kroger. For a quick drive, right?)Â
Oh. my. word.
TIP: If you need some serious bin storage – Buy 30 shoebox size containers at 84¢ each, use $5 off $25 coupon, makes them 67¢ each and great for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes. Ends 3/4/16.
Target made me happy.
I've been pinning all these super cute ideas on Pinterest for Easter, and as soon as I walked in was greeted with $3 decorations for Easter.Â
pre-done.
No work involved.
Remember, if you give a moose a muffin?
Or you give a mom some Target moo-lah.
So I snatched those up (the very last burlap pennant banner, thank you very much), did a quick meandering through the store (because I love you and had to show you what they had), then headed on over to have my car looked at.
Thank heavens, no major crisis with the car, and exactly 3.5 hours later I'm finally sitting back down to the computer to get to work.Â
Ieven get my mantle done in that time  ~ for just $15 ~ success?Â
So there you have it. Don't ever give a moose a muffin. And never ever never give a mom some Target moo-lah.Â
{Now, for the deals.}
Here's what I bought:
- 1 bunny – completely plastic but looks adorable and my kids can't break him – $3
- burlap Easter tree $3
- chalkboard $3
- round Happy Easter Banner $3
- burlap pre-cut pennants (that I'll also use for other projects ~ LOVED these) $3
- Also, Target has a Cartwheel coupon for 25% off all Easter decor expiring tomorrow that includes what's not in the One Spot – quite a few things were there but I was pleased with my $3 finds!
Anyone else had one of those kind of days? 🙂Â
