I work in a building that's still mid-renovation and one of the offices near mine has a fruit fly problem. I don't want it to spread to my space so I bought one of these Fruit Fly Traps to see if it could get the population under control. I plugged it in before I left for the long weekend and when I came back – this is what I found!
The UV Light attracts insects and the sticky pad traps them when they try to land. Once the pad gets too full – you just slide it out, toss it, and slide in a refill sticky pad. Easy peasy! Now that I know it works I plan to get one for my kitchen to plugin near the sink, as we often get drain flies.
