Les Mills on Demand + 4 More Free Workout Options!
Oh my goodness, I am so stinkin' excited about this because I seriously needed it today.
I just found out that for a limited time you can workout with Les Mills on Demand for FREE from home right now.
I've been doing Les Mills classes at my local gym for years (almost ten years to be exact)! and love (love, love, love!) the Les Mills Body Combat, Body Pump and Body Attack Classes. Even though I follow the Faster Way To Fat Loss program pretty closely, as a work-from-home-mom I love getting out of the house each day to workout with Les Mills classes at my local gym.
So when our local gym closed down this week due to the Coronavirus, I got a wee bit grouchier by the day. (I typically do Les Mills Body Pump on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and Les Mills Body Combat on Fridays . . . and when I'm really in the spirit I head out to class on Wednesday nights too.)
I've done them at several different gyms, and love that Les Mills classes are always consistently a fantastic way to get a great workout in. While I knew Les Mills on Demand was an option, I hadn't looked closely to see what they offered (until I really started to miss it this week)!
Thankfully someone posted on our local gym's Facebook page that right now you can try out Les Mills on Demand for FREE ,as they're being incredibly generous while we all get used to life for a bit at home. The cost is normally $14.99 per month. so this is some serious savings and a great way to try it out while we're all home!
I love Les Mills Body Combat most because it burns a ton of calories which means more chocolate for me. 🙂 It's so fun . . . imagine kick-boxing meets a hard-core Zumba class . . . it's seriously my favorite class of all time. You can burn more than 700 calories in an hour and have fun the whole time, which is amazing to me!
Les Mills Body Pump has helped me gain so much strength over the last few years by doing it consistently two times each week ~ something I'd never done before. It's great for all levels, just start with light weights (even just canned goods will work!) if you're new to working out. (Although you can pick up some inexpensive weights here to get started).
More FREE Home Workout Options
If Les Mills isn't your favorite option, several other websites are offering free online workouts as well right now, which is a great way to keep in shape while and stay focused while everything else feels a little out of whack right now.
Here are all the best options I see right now:
2. Peloton App: Get 90 days free (you do NOT need a peloton bike to do these – they have a variety of exercises!)
Of course, you can also check out Youtube for hundreds (um, thousands!) of additional free workout videos, and of course nothing beats going outside for a walk or even just jumping rope in your garage if it's raining all the time at your house like it is at mine.
No matter what you do though, commit to doing some form of exercise over the next few weeks, because it really will help boost your mood every day. I'd love to hear what you're doing to work out during this crazy season ~ leave a comment to let me know (I'm cheering for you!)
