Last night at about 9:30 PM I realized that our house was completely (TOTALLY!) out of toilet paper. Not just one bathroom . . . all three bathrooms (EEK!)
Okay, we did have about 15 sheets left on one roll . . . for all five people in our house. . . not quite enough . . .
However I just knew that I'd at least have an extra box of Kleenex to get us through the night ~ ummm ~ except that I donated all the extra tissue boxes at the beginning of the school year (DOUBLE EEK!!!) Here's what was left:
Yup, five people, and one whopping pocket pack of tissues . . . YIKES! What's a penny pincher to do?
I raced to Kroger this morning before the kids got up, and found this fantastic deal on Cottonelle (thank heavens!) Here's the deal:
Cottonelle 12 double rolls $5.99
- Use $0.50 off Cottonelle Toilet Paper, exp. 9/23/12 (SS 08/12/12)
- $4.99 after coupon
- PLUS, when you purchase 2 Cottonelles you'll get a $2 catalina at checkout, or purchase 3 and get a $3 catalina, which makes each pack just $3.99/pack, and $.012 per square foot! (Thanks for letting me know about the catalina, Mary!)
And if you're wondering how to figure out if that's a good price or not, here you go ~
$4.99/ 321.6 square feet = $.015 per square foot (and right at my stock up price!)
So, there you have it. Go buy some toilet paper and stock up, because no one (NO ONE!) should ever be stuck with five people in the house and only a pocket pack of tissues. 😉
