Jif Peanut Butter Recall
Heads up!
If you've purchased Jif peanut butter recently, you may want to check your labels! The J. M. Smucker Co. just issued a voluntary recall of select Jif Products due to potential Salmonella contamination.
The recalled peanut butter was distributed nationwide in retail stores and other outlets. According to the CDC, there have beeen 14 confirmed cases of the salmonella strain linked to the recalled peanut butter.
Recalled products include the products below with lot codes 1274425 – 2140425 (the lot codes are included alongside best-if-used-by date – see photo above).
If you have products matching the below descriptions, it is advised that you dispose of it immediately.
Have a recalled Jif product on hand and wondering about a reimbursement? Jif's website states the following: “We are committed to reimbursing affected consumers. Please contact us through jif.com/contact-us or 800-828-9980. Due to high call volume at our call centers, our online contact form may be faster.”
