What is this book club about?
It's basically a monthly kids book club for early readers! 🙂

The books are full of relatable stories, colorful illustrations, and exciting children's book characters that unlock the joy of reading and promote skill-building through practice.
Since the brand’s first book was published, I Can Read! has become a trusted early reader brand in the world of children's literacy. Kids have learned to read and fallen in love with classic characters like the Berenstain Bears, Little Critter, Amelia Bedelia, Biscuit, Pete the Cat, Pinkalicious, Lyle the Crocodile, and many others!

PPP Team Member Ashley recently snagged the Earliest Readers box for her son Liam (he's currently in Pre-K and going into Kindergarten in the fall) and he was so excited to get the books in the mail!
Here's what she had to say –
My son Liam loved getting his first box of the I Can Read! books in the mail. He couldn't wait to open it, but was even more excited when he recognized the characters – the Little Critter book was his favorite! These books will be a great resource in getting him ready for Kindergarten this fall.

I ordered this special last week and was notified the books were back ordered and would be shipped a little later. Today I got any email stating they had shipped and charged my credit card $27. When I called the book club they said the originally order was cancelled and I was required to pay the full monthly price. I immediately cancelled the subscription and told them to refund my money. Maybe I am the only person who experienced this, but wanted others to be aware of the bad business practice of this company.

Oh no Tracie! I will send your message to our representative today to have them look into it, as that should not be the case at all!

Hi again Tracie,
They’re looking into this! Here’s what they said – “I am so sorry to hear that – this should absolutely not be happening. Please share our apologies as well and let them know we’re looking into this. I’ll follow-up as soon as I have more insight here.”
Stay tuned!

I spoke to “Dot” when I called their customer service this morning at 7:20 CST today. She was absolutely clear that the original order had been cancelled not back ordered even though I have the back order email from them. When I expressed my displeasure and cancelled the subscription, I got an en email that said Sorry to see you go with a survey link. I tried to enter the survey and it says “unfortunately the survey you tried is closed”. I would say this is not a reputable company.

Hi Tracie, I just heard back from the folks over at I Can Read and they said it that the issue should be resolved…can you confirm? They said somehow it looked like maybe you tried to place 2 orders, so it charged you full price for the second order. Anyways, I’m hoping it’s all resolved for you now! If not, please let us know! 🙂

This is great! Just got mine for our boys. They are 3 and 1, but I’ve noticed the I Can Read books have short sentences that keep their attention and they can understand the stories better than a lot of the picture books we read! Thank you so much for this tip!

I love that, Rachel! So happy we could help as well!
