It’s basically a comb + flat iron in one…and it works amazing! 😀 But FIRST, let me say that if you have really fine, thin hair or are always trying to add volume to your hair, this gadget is probably not for you.
However, if you have thick, course, or wild hair that needs some taming, I think it works wonders!
I have a ton of hair with a few random wavy strands, and it gets a little crazy sometimes with all the frizzies. This straightening comb works SO well at taming those down ~ it makes my hair sleek and soft from front to back!
Plus, it features a special PTC heating technology that delivers even heat, so it reduces the heat damage by 50% and creates salon grades result without frizz. It also features five different heat settings for different hair types!
Here are a few tips on how to use the TYMO:
1. First, be sure to apply a heat protectant (I apply mine before blow drying my hair and/or using the TYMO comb and I only use it on dry hair).
2. Next, I start with using the comb with the teeth out on the undersides of my hair (like above photo). Be sure to hold the sections of your hair out taut with one hand or using a brush so you can get the best grip on your hair.
3. Then, I work on the frizzy parts by combing them down (like above).
4. That’s it! It takes me about 10 minutes or less for smooth, silky hair!
I love that the actual comb does NOT get hot and heats up in just 20 seconds – but note that your hair will get hot depending on what setting you use! (You can use the included gloves that come in your box to help with this)

I have owned one of these for a few years. It is amazing!! The only time you should ever have frizzys is because you didn’t feel like combing your hair. So very easy to use unlike a curling iron. I really love it!!
