We’re kicking off a fun new series around here where we’ll be sharing some of our team members’ very favorite things! We always think it’s so fun to get a peek at the products, finds, and little extras that other people truly love and recommend.

A quick note before you dive in: these picks won’t always be the most frugal finds or on major sale. Some of them may definitely be a bit of a splurge, but they’re all items these ladies feel are absolutely worth it and genuinely use, love, and recommend. Our hope is that this series gives you a few new ideas, introduces you to some tried-and-true favorites, and maybe even helps you discover something you end up loving too!

Meet Fran!

Hi, I’m Fran – a married mama of two living in Birmingham, Alabama. I enjoy cooking, entertaining, and setting a beautiful table. Life is sweetest when shared with friends and family, good music, plenty of laughter, cheese dip, and a fountain Coke Zero (add a lemon, please)!

Acrylic Guest Towel Holder – I keep this acrylic guest towel holder in our half bath. I’ll change out the napkins for holidays, fun prints, etc. It’s a little extra welcoming touch that makes me so happy! 

Beaded Gold Bracelet Stack – I rarely take off these gold-filled bracelets. I’ll sleep in them, shower, swim, etc and they hold up so well. My stack is a good mix of the name brand bracelets as well as less expensive from Amazon and you can’t tell the difference. Some have been special gifts, and others I’ve added myself. They truly do elevate any outfit!

Nest Grapefruit Candle – This is my most favorite candle! It’s bright and refreshing without being overwhelming. When lit, the scent fills easily fills the room , but doesn’t give you a headache. Nest candles make the best gifts and I like to snag them on Amazon when they are on sale.

Acrylic Closet Dividers – These acrylic closet dividers may seem a little ‘extra,’ but I love how they keep order and structure to my shelves. Sweaters, jeans, pants etc all have a place and don’t topple over creating chaos.

Ice Scoop – My countertop ice maker was a surprise at Christmas and I have enjoyed it so much! I love that it lives in our laundry room, so it doesn’t take up counter space in the kitchen. Nothing better than a drink with ‘the good ice.’ I love the pop of color of this super fun ice scoop – it makes me smile every time I use it!

Nature’s Own Seasonings – I use this seasoning mix for everything! It’s the perfect combination of salt, black pepper, sugar, garlic, onion, parsley, and celery seed — and compliments any dish!

Goodr Sunglasses – Hands down, my absolute most favorite sunglasses! They are great looking, lightweight, don’t slip, and come in so many fun styles and colors (the Amelia Aviator is my current fave). They don’t get tangled in your hair on top of your head and aren’t bulky under a ball cap. AND – they are not expensive – can’t beat that!

Nioxin Shampoo – Nothing says welcome to your late forties like thinning hair! I’ve found this shampoo to be very helpful in thickening up my hair. It has a lovely peppermint scent and a creates good lather. It’s one to keep in your cart and watch, because it does go on sale regularly.

Dishes & Glasses – I was raised that gathering around the table with those you love is a gift, and there’s always room for more. It doesn’t have to be a special occasion to use the good stuff – it’s meant to be enjoyed! Get creative and mix and match …. Some of my most favorite tables have been dishes from the dollar store or yard sales, paired with silver and crystal. These Walmart glasses are my go-to – I use them with both my casual and dressy dishes, and have given them many times as gifts!

Weighted Blanket – I may be in a codependent relationship with my weighted blanket. It’s just so wonderful and cozy and makes me happy! I am not ashamed to say that I do travel with it when packing space allows!
