Favorite Things Gift Exchange Ideas
I shared this gift with three of my mom friends this year because I love and use mine so much! My color jumped up in price higher than $25 but I found this one for less. The trivet tree sits on a shelf near my kitchen table I anytime I plop a hot pan or casserole dish on the table, I just reach over and grab a trivet or two to place beneath it. It’s so useful and cute!
Jalynn, PPP’s Designer Team Lead, looooves these Erasable Pens. She says “They’re pens that erase and they erase really well! They come in cute, fun colors and have a nice feel and shape to them too.”
Fran, on our Customer Engagement Team, loves this Honey Beef Tallow Cream for deep moisturizing. She said “I LOVE it! Makes you skin so soft but it’s not sticky or gross … It works really well on super dry patches or eczema and also it’s so soothing on sunburn.”
Laura, PPP’s Lead Content Creator, loves this cute bag and had this to say: “I love this purse and get so many compliments on it because it’s like in between a belt bag and a purse”
Lauren, our Senior Graphic Designer, loves this tempered glass cutting board for reducing the chances of any microplastics making their way into her food. Also she said it doesn’t hold onto flavors. (No more garlicky or oniony tasting apples slices!)
Reagan, Laurie’s college-aged daughter, picked these as her favorite thing and alot of us agree with her!
Bridgett, PPP’s Freebie Finder, loves her candle lamp so much she bought 10 for gifts this year – she has hers in her bathroom making it so cozy and smelling amazing! The one she bought sold out but this one is very similar.
Ashley, PPP’s Customer Service Specialist and Content Creator, LOVES these Portable Chargers with Multiple Charging Cords – she says “These hold 2 days worth of charge and have 4 different cables built in! Great for travel, nice to keep charged for any emergency and every day use!”
Lindsay loves this rapid cold coffee brewing system for quick and delicious (NON Bitter!) cold brew coffee.
Charcuterie Bamboo Board with Lid
Jessica, Senior Content Writer at PPP, loves these Charcuterie Boards with Lids and has already brought it to three gatherings! The Cook with Color brand has sold out but the Farberware one is VERY similar and only a couple dollars over the limit 🙂
Holly, PPP’s Technical Manager, picked this Macbook Laptop Sleeve as her favorite thing. She said “I work on the go all the time & this provides just the perfect cushion for my laptop & is portable enough to toss in a tote or just in my car. I can easily carry it into kids’ music lessons or the coffee shop, or wherever I’m working without having to have a huge bag.”
How to Host a Favorite Things Party:
You can host a favorite things party just like a Dirty Santa party (But with everyone bringing their favorite gifts) – OR you can have everyone bring multiples of their favorite gift and let guests choose a couple to take home. Here are some party hosting tips.
- Set a Budget – $10 – $20 is a good place to start, though you could go as low as $5 or as high as the group would like!
- Guests brings 2-3 of the gift they love, wrapped. Think about favorite home goods, beauty products, skincare, gadgets or accessories.
- Guests take turns presenting their “favorite thing” and explain why they love it to the group.
- Guests choose numbers out of a hat, which determines the order in which they get to pick their gift.
- Party guests each get to choose two-three gifts from the group favorites to take home and enjoy!
Favorite Things Gift Exchange Themes:
You can choose a theme for your party – like home goods or beauty – to help direct guests to bring things from a similar category. You can also choose themes for the event itself! When you’re getting together with girlfriends, a Pajama Party is a great theme to ensure everyone can come cute and comfortable.
Ask everyone to also bring one of their “Favorite” appetizers to really get into the “favorite things” theme. This has the bonus perk of leaving you very little to provide in the way of food!
